SImoHayha got a reaction from Genius23462 in Thermal paste
Yes but terrible temps, just order some thermal paste from amazon. Or you can find a local PC shop and see if they got any thermal paste for sale.

SImoHayha got a reaction from Mohammed2935 in gamers nightmare!!! the worst day of my life!!
YOU COULD fix it, MAYBE. If you take them apart individually and soak them in isopropyl alcohol, then let them dry off completely the alcohol will help make the water evaporate faster. Just make sure not to give them power, sometimes if you let the soak in the alcohol then you might be able to fix them.

Nintendo is really backwards AF sometimes OH YEA we'll sue your ass for nearly 20 year old games. That we dont produce or put on our e-store cause our e-store is garbage and we dont care or wont place the games you love on our virtual console.

SImoHayha got a reaction from kirashi in hard drive is not showing up and it has important files on it
You would need to plug into another computer that could detect it or utilize Linux and clone the drive that way.

SImoHayha got a reaction from kirashi in hard drive is not showing up and it has important files on it
It could be that the drive is dead or dying and you have to clone the drive in order to recover any files that you might have.

SImoHayha got a reaction from Metallus97 in 4ghz AMD 8350 vs current gen Ryzen 4gz CPU
Let me tell you when I came from the FX series to the Ryzen 3 then to the Ryzen 5 series. Ryzen has greater performance overall and hands down beats out the FX series in many ways than one. It's pretty sad that the FX series could've been something special if only they had better IPC, which was their downfall for the FX series. Now that Ryzen also brought down prices and competition Ryzen is not only better but also cheaper and more efficient.
If you got Amazon Prime Ryzen chips are nearly 60$ to 50$ off.

I think I got everything... if you have any questions, ask below
------
The first step is to decide what you want your setup to be, as you'll need to know how many parts to order. There is a few different options, and once you've chosen, click on the parts list for your respective setup.
1. Single Camera w/o hub server
Parts list: Pros Least expensive setup Cons Lower attainable FPS/res 2. Single Camera w/ hub server - *RECOMMENDED*
Parts list: Pros allows for future expandability higher attainable FPS/res more reliable vs. no hub Cons costs more (you have to buy a second Raspi) 3. Multiple Cameras w/ hub server - *RECOMMENDED*
Parts list: Pros higher attainable FPS/res more reliable vs. no hub Cons cost (lol, 2 cameras + hub is still cheaper than a Nest cam) 4. Multiple cameras w/ a desktop computer as a hub
This is a setup that you can build, but I haven't investigated it yet, so stay tuned on this.
My recommendation is to have a hub server regardless of the number of cameras to ensure the best possible image quality, but if your budget doesn't permit, a single camera w/o a hub server can still work decently.
Click on the header for your desired setup to see the actual DIY steps.

SImoHayha got a reaction from Angel102 in DO NOT OPEN POWER SUPPLY *IN HOSPITAL*
Common knowledge is if the fan is dead in a PSU you get a new PSU period my professor who works in the IT field said just get a new PSU instead of trying to replace the dead fan it because this will happen to you. Lucky you had your friend or you would be dead on the floor for about a couple of hours.

SImoHayha got a reaction from DimasRMDO in Proposal: How to keep your files organized
Honestly the way I keep my files organized is just using folders and placing files in said folders then do group by type and then if I need to find something specific download " Everything" which scans your entire HDD/SSD hierarchy and finds the file you want and you can sort by file as well so if you wanna find a music file then you can search by audio files and etc.

SImoHayha got a reaction from Lurick in WIFI PASSwords
What you're asking for is high-grade level stuff, unfortunately. Get a router w the ability to have dual broadcast, so you can have one network utilize x network name and x password and then guests when they come will have to use the passsword you placed or whatever when they come to eat. Just give hte password to paying partrons only and stuff like that.

SImoHayha got a reaction from 8uhbbhu8 in This Copy of Windows is not Genuine
Get a product key, or just forget about it honestly. It's windows 7 afterall. Or use a special program to activate it if you get what I mean "wink wink"

SImoHayha got a reaction from ProjectBox153 in My internet on PC won't connect
give it an IP address manually. Check your router and what IP's your router gives out.
For example my router gives out anything connected to it with the IP's 192.250.250.X The X representing the random number it assigns for any devices connected to the router.

SImoHayha got a reaction from sebfro in Linus should really do a video on these cheap external GPU Docks
So I'm really tired and honestly a little bit pissed off at various Youtuber's definition of "cheap" gaming laptops or gaming builds.**COUGH COUGH** 1000$, 1500$ Honestly cheap to us normal users and new users would be a budget of 400-500 dollars. But I think this true cheap external GPU dock would also be an interesting thing for Linus and crew to properly test and see how everything works.
The dock in question is called this: EXP GDC V7.0 Beast Laptop External Independent Video Card Dock
https://www.banggood.com/EXP-GDC-Laptop-External-PCI-E-Graphics-Card-p-934367.html
And here is a video explaining how everything works.
This would be a cool thing for everyone to know about, it would allow those with crummy and shitty laptops or even laptops without GPU's to become mobile workstations or even truly mobile gaming laptops. Although there is a catch, Nvidia GPU's allow the laptop screens to be used while AMD GPU's require another screen. I think this should be a great thing and experience for the Linus team, and they can get to see how honestly/truly cheaper it is to actually have a gaming PC with a tiny little device such as this.

no space, shit is huge
little eGPU dock sits in a small desk.
I don't care.
it allows me to take advantage of my quad-core i7 when it arrives as well, which would have better IPC compared to the Xeon from above.

SImoHayha got a reaction from Brennan Price in Xbox One X -vs- PC... A video request.
Honestly I could give less than two shits. My only complaint is how consoles all of a sudden went to this bloody 4K hype train and like everyone wants 4k. No I don't 4K Sony and Microsoft when you guys fucking fail at even making modern games barely run at 1080P with 60FPS. Shit a majority of games don't even hit 1080P and they just jump the train and say " 4K IS THE NEW THING"
Newsflash 4K only appears for TV's and monitors that support the bloody thing. So even if I do get a 4K capable device which I do ( The PS4 PRO) I can't even use 4K settings anyway so it doesn't matter. Also if a majority of Microsoft Games are going to be released on Windows 10 then why bother with getting the Xbox X if you already have a PC? Again I can see why people might want it if they don't have a console or anything else.
But the bottom line here is that consoles are trying to be like PC's because they know they're failing in the power department heavily. And fail to realize that the more they try to get bigger numbers they fail at making their normal products even achieve 1080P.
