  1. With your build hammerslap1, even without 980, it's about 100 USD too expensive atm, the mobo is more expensive than the MSI one I had picked out aswell. The PSU is also abit expensive, would you recommend the EVGA 500B 500W instead then?
  2. It's abit over the price limit so I think I'll stick with a 970. But what mobo and CPU could you recommend?
  3. http://www.inet.se/kundvagn/visa/9145049/asd Changed back abit, don't think he is in need of the 6600K because he won't overclock or anything. Got a few questions, is the 2133MHz recommended for the RAM or would 1866 be fine? It's abit cheaper How much does the motherboard matter? There are several from MSI, which would you choose between these 4: http://www.inet.se/produkt/1902959/msi-b150-gaming-m3#/specs http://www.inet.se/produkt/1902855/msi-b150a-gaming-pro#/specs http://www.inet.se/produkt/1902958/msi-h170-gaming-m3#/specs http://www.inet.se/produkt/1902854/msi-h170a-gaming-pro#/specs
  4. Here is your setup DND http://www.inet.se/kundvagn/visa/9145018/linus Roughly same price, what would be the next step up GPU wise? The radeon seems to be equivalent to gtx 960 in price, maybe better performance?
  5. http://www.inet.se/kategori/595/natdel-psu here is a link to the website I was planning to buy from (all of their PSUs)
  6. Hey, been setting up a build for my brother, he plays mostly games on his computer like league of legends, CS:GO etc. Haven't been keeping up with the PC world since I bought a new comp for myself a year ago and I'm uncertain what processors and motherboards are good for the new LGA 1151. I was thinking intel core i5 6400 or 6500 with a MSI H170A or B150A gaming pro motherboard. Below is the full list of components I've chosen (SSD and HDD already available): http://www.inet.se/kundvagn/visa/9144965/2016-02-13 The budget is pretty much what I've picked out already, don't really know how it translates into USD, like 800-900$ I think.
  7. No responds so far, I guess people think I'm trolling? I realize it's a WATER pump but since I posted this the pump has also started making a slight rattling noise. I've kept the pump connector to the CPU fan but removed "smart speed" in BIOS so it should be running on full speed (says 3000 RPM right now in the kraken software).
  8. I just installed a Kraken x41 a couple hours ago and at first it sounded really much, like water gushing around, but it kind of dissapeared and now it comes in intervalls. I don't know if the pump should be completely quiet or not, but I saw a reason for this can be because of trapped air. Should I be worried or not? The sound comes roughly once per 30-60s and lasts 1-2 sec.
  9. Found a place where the 850W version of EVGA Supernova G2 is actually cheaper than the 750, it only costs 10 euros more than the CX600... I guess I might aswell get that then ^^
  10. Many opinions here, I'm still as lost as before . Conclusion is EVGA g2 750w to be on the safe side? It's roughly 1.5 times the price of the CX600M where I live though.
  11. So choosing which PSU to use seems like it's own science to me and I need some help. My PSU has to power a overclocked 4690k and MSI GTX 970, cooled by a Kraken X41, with a single SSD and a HDD. What does this require? I've ordered a CX600M from Corsair, but now I'm unsure if that's enough even as the build is now. How much would I need if I'd also like to do 970 SLI as a future upgrade?
  12. I've tried some changes since it's abit more expensive in Sweden I think, changed to MSI GTX760 and Z97 Gaming 3. Also changed to Samsung SSD 840 EVO since it was only 100 kr(Swedish crowns) more expensive. The HyperX fury was supposed to be 2x4gb and it cost the same as the 1x8gb anyway. This lands me at 10580 kr or 1445 US dollars, which is about 1000kr(136 US dollars) more than I would like to spend at most. I really like the case and the H100i fits well into the front. Another option would be Arc midi or Corsair 450D, with maybe a H60 plugged in at the back? With the 450D this would put the build at 9769 kr which wouldn't be much cheaper anyways I guess hehe. Thoughts on this appreciated. Edit: I actually have a Noctua NH-D14 that I'm using on my current build, but it's abit too big in my opinion and too hard to keep clean, so I've really liked the idea of getting a water cooled CPU but maybe it's abit overrated? I also have a HDD at 500gb that I will take from my current build aswell.
  13. The budget is corresponds to 1365 US dollars from Swedish crowns. The usage is gaming at home(location?), I want a solid gaming rig although I don't play too demanding games atm, mostly CS:GO, Hearthstone and Diablo 3.
  14. Hi everyone, I'm trying to build a new rig and need some input on if I've spent my money in the right place. The price at the moment is a bit more than I'm comfortable with and I wouldn't mind switching out stuff if any part of the rig isn't going to use it's full performance as it currently is setup. I don't know if power supply with 550W is enough but right now a swedish store where I live has 52% off the original price tag, so it would be nice to use if I can since the 650W of the same brand is more than twice as pricey. I'd rather use the Corsair CS 650M in that case, thoughts? Also wondering whether the H100i is needed? I've heard that the H60 is kind of bad, although that was my original choice. I'm going for abit like the 4K build Linus showcased with the Corsair case, Bitfenix fans and the cheaper Corsair H100i rather than H110, but maybe it's abit overkill considering the rig isn't as powerful. Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/dJm7sY Thanks in advance . Here's a link to the PSU: https://www.komplett.se/cooler-master-v550s-550w-psu/795282?cks=ASS&assoc=B99EC1DD-959C-4C0C-9D36-284FB69F5D76
