kerberos got a reaction from jeyampz in Help with purchasing water cooling supplies in Toronto
I think if you do one invoice only, they charge you once for shipping. Don't worry if it seems there is indeed mutiple package with different tracking. You can also pick Canada Post to pay less too..
If you aren't really satisfied, you could always order from US on FrozenCPU.com but you could expect to pay some taxes.

You'll be fine as it seems it didn't break any circuits, just the pcb. Be more gentle next time

kerberos got a reaction from T.Q. in Which GPU.. base on the availability of water block.
+1 for the Evga, you won't be disappointed by the acx air cooler and if you go on watercooling, it uses reference pcb.

kerberos got a reaction from UltraNeonGaming in Asus RMA?
Asus is reliable and the quality goes first, you can't go wrong with them but for some products you pay for the brand itself, so it's more expensive.
As for the RMA question, I would recommand you choose something like a cross-shipping RMA when you make your order.
It might happen on bad luck too, but it's really rare. I've had a gpu RMA'ed a few years ago and if I remember correctly it took 1 to 3 weeks.
If you have the choice, I would suggest to buy your parts on your local store too.

Make sure the DHCP server inside the router has enough IPs for all your devices.
Stupid question but are you sure you got a switch device and not a hub..
and I can't picture your network setup but it should be more something like this : end devices > switch > router > modem (ISP)

kerberos got a reaction from Captain_WD in Old HDD to new one
Like Captain said, you could use any software to do it.
if you want to use the windows feature, just schedule a backup and restore operation by selecting which files or folder will be included but those files would be archived (not readable) but take lesser spaces.
Or I would recommand creating a batch files and schedule a nightly task.
for example
@Echo off
XCOPY "C:\my work\*.doc" D:\backup\ /s/e/y

kerberos got a reaction from imperialplanet in Two Year Sentence For 3D Print a Gun.
well, he got caught because he posted a video on youtube : / why didn't he keep it for himself ? especially if those were actually working..
I mean it should be fine to have fake models (toys?) in his home but from the moment he tries to make if functionnal, that's a different story. Someone could get hurt.
and what's up with the cheap stuff ? he could go buy a real gun, get a licence for it and practice shooting in a restricted area like the real thing.. isn't why they have clubs ?

kerberos got a reaction from Krash in Swivel fittings and quick disconnects
If you have a D5 pump, it has enough power to handle the quick disconnects, they wouldn't make it so expensive if it was useless. I have myself 4 of them, each one on intlet and outlet of my 2 radiators. Maintenance was kind of a pain so I needed an easy way to remove and take things apart. I would recommand the koolance one, QD3 because the QD4 series are a bit too large. Carefull when you picked quick disconnects, you need 1 Male that goes together with 1 Female.
They are two types of quick disconnects too, one that goes directly to a block or radiator ( it has G1/4 universal) and the other that goes with your tubing size with a compression fitting on the end.
is that clear enough ?
for example :
Male or Female G1/4 + Male or Female 3/8" 5/8" tubing size
Male or Female 3/8" 5/8" tubing size + Male or Female 3/8" 5/8" tubing size
best use for them was a drain point on the lowest point, I would disconnect them, use a spare one with tubing and start draining
