  1. According to EK configurator, it seems that R6 has worse space for radiators than R5. R5 can fit 240x60 at the top and 360x60 at the front (EK XE), but R6 can't and you're stuck with slimmer rads.
  2. No need for sinking. My first custom loop was back in 1998 with Thermaltake. But, since 4 years ago, since I crashed in my R44, I have my hands messed up and can't manage fully custom loop maintenance. I know rad surface wins it all, but 1mm for 1mm, was interested in pump, block and rad core performance. Nothing more.
  3. Why is it better? I'm talking about purely performance: what radiator and what pump you're using to get better performance? I presume Phoenix, being made of their blocks, their pumps and their rads, should be no different in the performance part?
  4. Compared to their custom solution? There shouldn't be actual difference, right? What exact rads are these in Phoenix?
  5. May I please get an info on what clock and voltage you use? I'm running a 5960X@4.4@1.2V because anything higher burns my Corsair H115i having Noctua 2k RPM fans. Full Blender load gets it to 80-85°C. Then I have 2x "Titan Xp"s i'd love to cool with this but not sure if I can connect anything here with two rads? @EK Luc @EK_Derick - is it possible to connect dual 280 Phoenix rad and dual Titan Xp with 5960X and cool it at higher than 4.4? I'm a 3D modeler, but I have disability with hands and maintenance of a custom loops is not an option, but Phoenix could work. Could I go dual 280 or dual 360? Or maybe 3 systems? One Phoenix loop or each GPU and CPU on its own?
  6. Hi all. Need some guidance for cooling setup for 5960X and TitanX machine. I'm planing on using H115i or H80i v2 for the job, probably dual H115i because I have a discount on them. What I need: as silent as possible setup with the best possible performance where performance, silence are more important than the cost of the fans and the case. I'd also like to get the smallest case possible. What configuration I need to setup the radiators; I presume a push-pull config with the fans setup to blow the air on top outside the case (pointing upwards) and the second radiator with the same setup, blowing outside I presume, front or side, or down, opposite direction or inside same direction (hot air inside the case, cold from the outside)? Also, what are the best fans I can get that are silent and create great pressure for the radiators. I have some Noctuas lying around. Need a case suggestion too. The board is Asus RVE (EATX).
  7. Well, I need max possible perf. for a Titan - need a TitanX to last a while so I plan to OC it - and I'm annoyed by the blower sound too... - I'm using a H110 for a 5960X and now will get this. I presume all of these have pre-applied thermal layer so I can just install without messing with the paste etc.? Need this fast and smooth too. (Yes, just renamed)
  8. Any kind of space. Just need best performance possible. H115i will be easy to install? I've seen there are two types of installation method, for round pump and square pump. I guess 110 and 115 are square ones and install easier like here? I'd go with 115i - isn't it the most performant? But I also see round pumps don't need thermal paste, you just push them in - these have a thermal layer..?
  9. What AIO cooler should I get for a Hydro Series HG10 N980 Edition on a TitanX? Thanks.
  10. Thanks for a warm welcome! Unfortunately, no distributor over here. We're lucky to be able to get Fractal or NZXT, and that only through foreign Amazon which is pretty much limited to several options.
  11. SO, I'm building a 5960X planned to go at 4.0+ GHz, 8 sticks of 3GHz RAM and dual 780Ti and later 980 SLI. So far I'm pretty uncertain if I'll go with Asus X99 Deluxe or Asus Rampage V Extreme. Price is of little concern due to outside financing. I did decide for Corsair AX1500i tho. What mostly bothers me is the choice of case. I'd rather go with a smaller one for practical purposes of looking better and getting less dust, but not sure if my Corsair H110 would fit cases I'd like to use. So far: Corsair 900D as ultimate solution to fit everything and not get stuck with limited airflow for radiator, NZXT H440 and FD R4 for mid-tower (preferable) or Corsair Graphite 780T and FD XL R2 for a slightly larger. I'd love to use NZXT H440, but I fear Rampage V (EATX) and H110 will not fit. Even if they fit I'm not sure if airflow would be sufficient to feed my H110. I'm not sure about that even if I got with X99 Deluxe board (ATX) and H105 240mm radiator that both fit. Same applies for FD R4. In case I really can benefit from better cooling for my machine, I'd have to go XL R2 or 900D in the end... Not sure. If you have any suggestions, please help. Roman
