  2. We need more information before we can really recommend a good fit. We don't know what case or what budget you have!
  3. Huh, I wasn't aware of this. I'm mostly a lurker but haven't really come across anything negative.
  4. If you guys didn't know Elric is battling diabetes and had to get his second foot amputated the other day. There is an indiegogo campaign trying to raise money to support Elric and it would be great if you guys could help out! Here is a YouTube video with some more information: Link to the indiegogo campaign: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/support-elric-phares 0
  5. Awesome! Thanks for the link. I'm not subscribed to the NCIX channel so this never showed up in my feed :3
  6. Serial ATA is old technology (It came out in 2003, almost 12 years ago!) SATA III came out in 2009, with 600MB/s. This is way too slow for today's SSDs. The problem with PCI-e is that there can only be so many slots on a single motherboard. Does anyone have a rough idea when a new standard will be available or what the standard might be? 0
  7. Not movies, but the advantages of an AMD integrated graphics include, but are not limited to, faster video/photo editing (light video edit that is), faster rendering, and driving more displays/pixels. 0
  8. Honestly, I think the 20nm processing node and the stacked memory die is almost confirmed now. It makes sense, and complies with what AMD has been telling us all along.
  9. I would go either or, but I usually trend toward AMD just because of the price/performance. (I've gotten a little annoyed at NVIDIA lately with the whole gameworks thing). I've also never had driver problems with AMD.
  10. It has? I couldn't find it for some reason. I'll delete this.
  11. Edit: Apparently this has already been posted, but I'm not sure how to delete mine. Here is the original post: There: http://linustechtips...er-performance/
