  1. around 4.0 ghz you will need better cooler to go around 4.4ghz and above
  2. as i saw you have a stock cooler, just DO NOT OVERCLOCK, not even 4.2ghz system may burn out literally improve cooling to a good air cooler like noctua dh-15 or liquid cooler like corsair h80i or 100i
  3. i have an fx 8320 and i have overclocked it to 4.6ghz stable with 1.43volts( if i remember correctly) go to the bios, disable turbo boost, for the starting you can leave the cpu voltage to auto and try to increase the multiplier to 21 i.e 200mhz base clock * 21 multiplier = 4200 mhz, make the n.b settings to 2400mhz, this should be fine for cpu speed upto 4.4ghz then load the settings and reboot if the system boots up to windows, run cpu-z to monitor the cpu and use aida64 and use stress test for the cpu you can see how much your cpu is clocking upto at 100% load. if there is no problem at 4.2ghz, you can try 4.3 and 4.4 ghz and so on untill the system stops and then revert back to the setting you find best. also if you want to go above 4.5ghz, you should manually adjust the voltage but carefully adjust by small amounts. and also if you have high speed ram like 2133mhz or so, try underclocking that to 1600mhz to get better stability for the cpu. you can also run prime95 and some core temp to monitor temps at 100% load. also what cooler do you have??
  4. so guys for streaming wouldnt more cores and more threads give better performance than faster lesser cores??? i dont know... would like to know

  6. guys help in clearing my idea for a high budget pc, which cpu would be better?? the pc will be mostly used for streaming and high-eng gaming intel i7 4790k vs intel i7 5930k gpus are 2 gtx 980s sli in both.. rest is more or less identical give your views about the cpu choice please.. thanks in advance
  7. are you sure it will be a new socket? i think lga 2011-3 will last for atleast 5-7 years given the need for ddr3 is still there.... but of course for most users including you...definitely go for i7 4790k....unless you are doing serious video editing stuff and more cores can help you in that ( no offence to i7 4790k, its a beast) i had to choose amd r9 290x over 980 because with 2 980s the cost was increasing the budget by a fair amount
  8. i guess its overkill true.. he may do some video editing where more cores will benefit and i wanted to go with ddr4 memory...for future upgradibility.. so..
  9. 4x4 and 2x8 both will work as dual channel memories performance wont vary much( if at all)
  10. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/fjptsY check this system its a little higher than your budget...but you can modify it to suit your needs PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/fjptsY Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/fjptsY/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-5930K 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($556.99 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Corsair H105 73.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($109.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Asus X99-E WS SSI CEB LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($491.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws 4 series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-2800 Memory ($515.98 @ Newegg) Storage: Intel 530 Series 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($126.99 @ SuperBiiz) Storage: Western Digital WD Black 4TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($248.99 @ SuperBiiz) Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 290X 4GB DirectCU II Video Card (2-Way CrossFire) ($309.39 @ Amazon) Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 290X 4GB DirectCU II Video Card (2-Way CrossFire) ($309.39 @ Amazon) Case: Antec Nineteen Hundred Green ATX Full Tower Case ($159.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Corsair 1200W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($288.99 @ NCIX US) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro (OEM) (64-bit) ($129.75 @ OutletPC) Monitor: Asus PB278Q 27.0" Monitor ($429.99 @ NCIX US) Monitor: Asus PB278Q 27.0" Monitor ($429.99 @ NCIX US) Monitor: Asus PB278Q 27.0" Monitor ($429.99 @ NCIX US) Total: $4538.41 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-01-30 06:28 EST-0500
  11. just asking: comparison between corsair h80i (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-cpu-cooler-h80i) and CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($79.99 @ Newegg) which one will give better temps including overcloking???
  12. neither 4300 or 6300 will bottleneck your graphics card if you don't intend to upgrade. and for slightly higher performance ( though negligible) you can buy 6300 if you do light photo or video editing otherwise you can switch sides to intel
  13. temps in the room is 16degrees. it shows "fx 8320 temp - 10degrees" i think it shows the temps in the coolant... and its h80i...not h100i
  14. the pump temperature shows to to be around 25degrees.... the graphics card temerature around 40degrees at idle. the temp sensors on the board is says 34, 35, 38 degrees. the cpu temp is however that low.. i also think the bios temp is more accurate simple because 9degrees or 10degrees for an 8 core cpu is kind of unbelievable.. thank you..
  15. are the temperature shown in corsair link correct?? because it sometimes shows my cpu temp as 10degree celcius which is pretty low for a simple corsair h80i and 5 fans in the system. the temps in the bios however shows around 30c. it is confusing.
  16. i5 4460 if not overclocking..or 4690k or 4670k... also you can also use z97 or higher end z87 if they in your budget.. you will get much better performance...
  17. dont worry about the ram, it should be fine..
  18. thank you all.... i think i will go for a r9 290....
  19. fx 8320 4.8 ghz stable.... though the temps were uncomfortable for me...around 70c so i had lowered it to 4.4ghz i dont know if you can push yours over 5ghz...i tried in my chip but failed....but it can aslo be that i received a bad chip. cooler corsair h80i and motherboard asus crosshair formula z
  20. if you have a tighter budget for motherboard go for asus m5 a97 r2,0.... otherwise sabretooth and the asus m5a99fx is too good...

  22. yes you can get 1 more stick of ram, just check the specs if they are all same like mhz and cas latencies. then you will get even more memory bandwidth
  23. you only want to consider amd?? if you have budget go for and i5 4670k if you want to overclock. or just i5 4440 if you are building the pc for gaming.
