  1. Yea. But I remember reading somewhere, I think it was on Reddit or TorrentFreak, that Opera VPN keeps logs of Data and stuff.
  2. With a locked CPU you can not overclock, with an unlock CPU you can overclock. To answer your second question, it depends on what games. Some games are more CPU dependent than others. So if the game you are playing is more CPU dependent, than it can help. Just remember, if you do overclock it, I would recommend getting a better cooler then the stock one.
  3. If you have a lot of CDs or DVDs that you use often, then I would say you do need it. But if you don't, then you don't really need it. It really just depends on if you still use CDs and DVDs a lot. These days, most if not everything can be downloaded online. Such as games can be downloaded from stuff like Steam and Origin. What I do, since I do have a few things on CDs is I bought a cheap Samsung USB external optical drive. I just pull it out and plug it in when I need it (Which is very rarely). Hope that helps!
  4. Hey, guys! How is everyone doing? I was just wondering what you guys found to be the best VPN. I use to use vyperVPN, but I recently found out that they will forward complaints to the DMCA for copyright and illegal torrenting (Which I totally don't do). So I stopped using it. Almost everyone on Reddit I talked to suggested PIA(Private internet access). But, I found I am getting slow speeds, compared to what everyone else is getting, even from the closest server(Which is only like 30 miles away from me lol). I do use it in my Asus Router. So, I was just wondering what VPNs you guys suggest. Or maybe you guys know how to improve my speed on PIA? Since I am like the only one getting slow speeds lol. Thank you so much! P.S: I don't think it is, but if it is against the rules to post asking about VPN suggestions, I am very sorry. I did check and seen nothing saying not to. The reason I say that is on /r/VPN and /r/VPNReviews it is against the rules.
  5. Hello everyone, I am having trouble with an old computer and wanted to see if any of you guys knew how to fix it. It is an old, about 2005-2010 Windows vista Dell inspiron 531 S. The power supply has a green light on it. So I know it is getting power. But when I push the on button, nothing happens. I suspected it to be the button used to turn it on. So I tried shorting out the power button on the mother board. But that did't work. No fans are spinning, nothing. Like I said the only thing that looks to have power is the power supply. Which has a green light on. I have tried at least 10 things trying to get it to come on. This has happened a few times before, but it went back on after a day. This is a family members computer that I am trying to get the data from the hard drive off. Do you guys have any suggestions on what to do to get it to come on before I buy a new power supply? Since that could be the only other things to do that I can think of. All I need is to get the photos / important data off of the hard drive. Thank you! -MrMonteCristo
  6. Hi! I will try not to, I will only give advice to stuff that I know . Also, Thank you! It took me a while to get that case . Hay!! Nice photo! Also, thank you! Hi!! You said that you were, new as well. So, Welcome!! Also, thank you very much! That link worked, I was able to edit it ! I love that GIF . Anyways, hi!! Thank you for the links, I have read them over! I also found the folding post, that seems pretty cool. I think I may do that. Hi! And thanks for the welcome!!! Yep, Maersk Line is the Company I want to work for ! On Top of all the great stuff you said, I will only have to work 6 months out of the year, and get to travel a lot! Hopefully someday the Emma Maersk , I guess I can say my "Dream" is to someday drive the "Emma Maersk" or there "Triple E" . Hello, and I will be sure to! Hi, and thank you!
  7. Hello, and thank you for replying to my post! I do have one more question if you don't mind me asking. Once I upgrade it, how do I do a clean install of it? I have never done that way before. Hello! Thank you as well for replying to my post! Like I said to "DOGC_Kyle", I do have one more question if you don't mind me asking. When I push the Windows 10 upgrade thing, it will take me to the part in the windows installation where I have the choice to pick "Upgrade" or "Custom" right? So i I understand right from "DOGC_Kyle". I have to do the "Upgrade" then a clean install of it? If I do the ISO on a thumb drive, won't I need a product key though? I am not sure, I have never done an upgrade before, it is probably the simplest thing Lol. Thanks again! -Matthew

    Hi!

Hi LTT fourms! I seen in the discription for this section, that new members can say Hi! So Hi! Anyways, I thought I would introduce myself! I have posted a few things on here asking for help with stuff. But never really posted on others posts and am not really that active! I hope to be more active and get to help some people! Anyways, my name is MrMontecristo, my real name is Matthew. I have built multiple pc's. This is my current one. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6pt7jX. There are a few things missing from that. I have X2 of those graphics cards. I am getting ready to fully water cool it. I have X3 monitors, hoping to get a 4th . I love building computers, as well as coding. I have coded about 15 different programs I use on a daily bases. I also love PC Gaming, and HATE console gaming, even though I have an Xbox 360, Xbox one, and PS4 in the back of my TV .I honestly don't remember the last time I even turned it on, it has to have been more than a year ago lol. I love Big ships Lol. I hope to get a job as a Maersk container line captain . And ya, that is really all I have to say! Thanks for reading! -Matthew Edit 1: I do have one question for you guys. How do you add a forum signature? Probably so simple Lol
  9. Hay LTT community! I just have a quick question for you guys, maybe someone can help . So, I have a laptop. I use it a lot for school. It is a Toshiba and it is about a year old. But I don't keep the manuals and boxes to things, and the laptop is one of them . I want to do a clean install of the windows 10 upgrade, I mean like doing the custom way. I want to just have Windows reformat the SSD, and have nothing left on there. But there is one problem, drivers. I have no clue what components are in it, it is a laptop . I was thinking I can go to there website and just download the drivers from there / they would tell me what they are. But when I upgrade it, won't I need a driver for the internet? I am not to sure, maybe you guys can give me some suggestions! Thank you!!
  10. Thank you everyone for your help and feedback! Thank you Leonard For the extra concerns! I am going to go and buy the XSPC kit, I will make sure to get the D5 pump Again, thank you!
  11. Hello Linus tech tips community! How are you guys doing? So, you can probably tell by the title what it is. But I am here to ask if you guys have any tips to water cooling? I am really new to it, and have never done it before. I have only bought the pre-done ones. LIke the corsair h100i gtx. Which I currently have. But I have watched a LOT of YouTube videos on how to do it. I am thinking about going with this kit from xs-pc then buying two water blocks for an evga superclocked 980.Link to kit: http://www.xs-pc.com/watercooling-kits-750-pump/raystorm-750-ex360-watercooling-kit . But I have a few concerns about it. They are Will It have enough power(Pump) to water cool 2 GPU's and a CPU? Will one triple fan radiator be enough mounted at the top? I have a 760t case. And don't think a quad fan radiator will fit. But not sure if I should mount a three fan radiator at the top and a two fan radiator at the front. What do you guys think? Is the reservoir big enough? I only have one drive bay available. I would be fine with going with a reservoir internally but don't know how . I could not seem to find any YouTube videos that show that. Do you guys maybe know of one and is it not to hard to mount it internally? So that is my concerns. I don't really need to buy a kit, but would like to go with one since it does come with instructions. Again, if you guys have any tips for me. That would be great! Thanks, and have a great day! -MrMonteCristo
