  1. obviously it's the better one, i was just wondering if it would be worth it at 2560x1080, since from what i gathered it was more aimed at high framerate/high resolution gaming and VR, (which i presume would count when using all three...)
  2. But wouldnt the 1060 not be enough, like the others are saying? i'd hat eto have to upgrade my GFX again after a short while when/if i (need to) upgrade my cpu
  3. I really don't mind having to turn the settings down, when running all three, I just want to be able to do it without the game dying because i only have 2gb of vram. Gta actually works pretty decently (30-40fps) on all three with my current setup on medium settings, it just fills up the vram and crashes. I mainly want a new card so i dont have to worry about being able to run a game (since when they dont support crossfire, the performance sucks)
  4. Hi guys, I Hope this is the correct place to post this, but i need some advice; I am currently rocking a FX-8350, 16gb of ram, and 2 HD7870's in crossfire (@1.1ghz) However i recently upgraded my setup and now have a triple monitor setup, 1920x1080 - 2560x1080 - 1920x1080 And my 2 7870's can usually handle most game on just the centre monitor with medium to high settings, however i would like to be able to run some games such as gta etc. on all three monitors. Obviously i have looked around and from what i have found the best choice would be either a 1060 6GB, 480 8gb, or a 1070, however there might be even better choices i haven't heard about. I don't really have a set budget, however i am not planning on really upgrading my setup, so getting a 1080 or titan would be overkill i think. I am just wondering what would be the best value for me, being able to handle basically everything at 60fps+ on the center monitor, and being able to run most games on all three monitors. Thanks in advance! Pepe
  5. Nope, n.v.m. After a reboot the issue is back, disconnecting monitors wont work anymore either...
  6. Disconnecting and reconnectng all monitors one by one seems to have fixed the issue, will update after i've tested for a while
  7. Hey guys, I have a really weird issue, and i cant seem to figure it out Whenever i open a DX9? game, maybe its just old games or something? not sure if its dx9... (seems to only be occuring with dx9 games) the screen flashes between black, the desktop, and the game, about 3-4 times a second. Games with issue: The room, PAYDAY 2, skyrim(w/enb) Games without issue: GTA V, Fallout4, Dying light The strangest thing is, this only happens on my HDMI monitors (i have 3 monitors, two of which are identical, but one is connected with DP and one with hdmi, the issue occurs only on the one connected via hdmi, and also my other monitor connected via hdmi This issue didn't happen before (noticed it about 3 days ago, so i'm not sure what changed.) I'm running win 10 pro 64 bit 3 monitors are all 1080p 60hz (AOC i2369Vm & Acer s235hlabii) CPU: fx-8350 GPU: two HD7870's (issue occurs with both crossfire enabled and disabled) All drivers are up to date (atleast all graphics drivers) Would really appreciate thoughts on this... Thanks in advance, Pepe EDIT: Flashing only occurs when running in win7 compatability mode, when running in full screen without compatability the game just crashes on hdmi monitors EDIT2: Removing all but one hdmi monitor also fixes the issue, seems te be an issue with the card only accepting dx9 fullscreen on the monitor listed as 1? EDIT3: Its definitely a DX9 issue, tried a game with both dx9 and dx11 support (sniper ghost warrior 2) and it works fine on dx11, but the super annoying black screen flashing on dx9 mode
  8. Ok, figured that already, but nice to hear some confirmation.. Would be a shame to spend more on fast memory and then not be able to use it
  9. hey guys, So i have a Asrock 990FX Killer, with an Fx-8350 And i want to upgrade my ram with Crucial Ballistix Tracer, 8GB (4GB x 2), DDR3 1866 (BLT2CP4G3D1869DT2TXO) But when i go to asrock's website, it says the board only Supports DDR3 2450(OC)/2100(OC)/1600/1333/1066 non-ECC, un-buffered memory Does this mean it wont be able to run the Ram at 1866mhz? and wouldnt this be very strange, since they claim to support both higher and lower frequencies? would love to hear confirmation on this, Thanks in advance Pepe
  10. i currently have it working by setting english as default language, then enabling cortanan (which works instantly), then, as long as i dont reboot the device, the default language is the old one, with cortana working in english
  11. Hey guys, Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, but i have a question; I am using windows 10 on my 2 in 1 now, and its set to dutch (my native language) Is there any way to enable cortana (in english) without me also having to change the language for everything else to english? Thanks in advance! Pepe
  12. turned out to be incompatible ram... the mobo only supports 667mhz or 800mhz, and i was using 533mhz
  13. Hey guys, I just got this system, and the previous ownder swears it was working when he sent it to me, so im assuming its not the mobo or cpu, Its an intel desktop board DG35EC with a core 2 duo e8400 and 2gb of ddr2 ram, When i press the power button it seems to boot up fine, but there's no video (on-board video card) speaker is connected but there are no beeps (tested it without ram, and the speaker is definitely working... Be adviced i dont currently have anything to boot from except a usb flsh drive, as the hdd is completely wiped. Thanks in advance! Pepe
  14. hey guys, i have a little issue, i have 2 asus 3650's (one passive one active) in my older secondary pc, and connected them with a crossfire bridge, according to the board manufacturer it supports crossfire in the first 2 slots (8x,8x) but in ctalyst controll centre (13.1, the one recommendd by amd for these older cards) only the first one is detected. so i'm unable to enable crossfire any thoughts? specs: mobo: ASUS P5Q-E Cpu: Core 2 duo E8400 Gpu's: 2x asus 3650 512 mb some 1TB HDD and 4 gb ram Oh btw, windows does detect the second card in device manager Thanks in advance, Pepe
  15. well. mine is amd based so there's that
