  1. Can you explain Why that is that case. I have had this gpu for over a year now with no issues.
  2. i7 2600K ASUS MAXIMUS IV EXTREME-Z GTX 780 DCII OC Win8.1 64bit Samsung 840 Pro 256GB Yes it happens on all games that crash. The game will play fine for hours but when it does crash I have to reset pc to get it to work again. I have an SSD. That program says its in good health.
  3. this has only started happening the past few weeks. I have not upgraded drivers or changed anything on pc. When the game crashes my main screen just freezes and my second screen continues doing whatever it was doing. If i was talking to people i can still hear them and they can still hear me i just cant access task manager or do anything to select "close program" If i hit "CTRL ALT DEL" it take about 1-2 mins for it to come up and if i select task manager (have to use arrow keys cause mouse wont work" it just don't open up. anyone know how to fix this?
  4. I feel like my upload speed and unlimited usage isn't being put to its full potential and would like to seed legal pieces of software/whatever else.
  5. Ok so this is a problem I was having when I got a GTX 780 Direct CU II from Asus about 1 year ago. I had a GTX 580 before and never had one issue with it. My setup (important bits) i7 2600K ASUS MAXIMUS IV EXTREME-Z 8GB Kingstone RAM So the problem I had when I got the card was this, When I was doing something intensive it would just stop, by stop I mean my two monitors would go black and then they would come back on and the game or whatever I was doing would still be there. I found out a awhile later that it was a driver crash. So what did i do? re-install the driver. Did that fix it? nope. So after that I came on here and told you guys about it and some people said it was a faulty unit and to RMA it, So I did. The guys tested it and said there was nothing wrong with it. I got it back and done more testing on my end. The problem was still there. I then re installed windows, but the problem was still there, random driver crashes, black screen and then everything comes back on. I re installed windows again( i don't know why actually) but problem was still there. Before i get to the next part, a pretty important piece of info. My motherboard has two BIOS chips. One of the BIOS's is totally up to date and the other hasn't been touched since I got the board. I was looking at my motherboard and decided I would try the other BIOS and see if the problem persists. guess what? Problem is GONE. havn't had an issue with the card since changing over to the older BIOS chip. I really just want to know what exactly caused the issue? was it the new bios version? was the chip faulty? would love some responses.
  6. The Motherboard has two BIOS Chips. One of them is fairly up to date and the other is the stock one that has never been updated. I using the one that has never been updated for this reason. The new BIOS's for this motherboard do not work with my GPU ( ASUS GTX 780 DC II) I have LLC set to 100% and my Vcore voltage set to 1.420 and seem to be stable at 4.60GHz. I ran OCCT for 15 mins and it never crashed. normally at this clockspeed i would have crashed the second i pushed "start". temps are all below 70C too.
  7. OK so I'm running occt now and the cpu voltage keeps dipping from 1.350 to 1.344 every few seconds. I'm guessing that's not supposed to do that? And I just crashed. God dammit I don't get any of those errors. I'm using Windows 8.1 and I get a CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT error.
  8. Just tried what techfan@ic said and i haven't crashed since. just changed it from 42 to 44 and changed voltage from 1.300 to 1.350. if i crash i will lower ram speed. I honestly think im missing some crucial settings somewhere but i don't know where.
  9. OK I give up. Have tried everything you guys have said and still won't work. Most of the time it doesn't even post. Thanks though.
