Huh.. for some reason I can't wrap my head around this new branding. since there is a 290x and 290 I guess I got it into my head there was a 280 and a 280x and yeah, I haven't hadn't really taken into account the 700 series prices, now that $280 is looking quite a bit nicer

I RMA'ed my 7950, but they are out of stock and offered me a sum of $280. I was wondering if that is a fair price, or if you guys thought i may be able to switch it for a 280 because if i remember correctly a 280 is a re branded 7950. (sidenote) My 7950 was not "broken", just ran hot and loud due to a fan problem, would it be worth my time to see if they could just ship it back and i could replace the fan or something?
