  1. Thanks for the recommendation @Fasauceome I notice that the graphics cards require PCI Express 4.0 but my motherboard only has PCI Express 3.0 so i am not sure it will compatible. I am going to buy an asus zenbook ux305ua soon for university.However the power adapter provide in the retail box won't work here since my country uses UK plugs like the ones below I found a charger that don't have attached power cord here but the plug it uses looks like the one below How is the one that got the UK plug at one end called ? The laptop supports the 240 V AC and therefore it should work just fine , provided i get the correct power cord Input :100 -240 V AC, 50/60 Hz universal P.S Feel Free to suggest a better charger
  7. Hi , I think its high time for me to buy my first laptop.Its not for gaming or heavy programming since i already have an awesome desktop rig. I am looking for a laptop with the following characteristics: -Long battery life (10+) -Screen size : 15-17" -Light(I will be carrying this in my backpack daily) -Must be upgradable (RAM , SSD) -SSD is a must (256gb/512gb will do) -Ram :8gb/16gb -Processor : i5/i7 -Good display and keyboard(Keyboard must have backlit) -Durable -Budget : <$1500 ( That's my max budget)

Somehow i need to turn my monitor first , wait for it to show dell logo then enter power saving mode and then i switch on the CPU and then everything working normal.If ever i don't wait for dell logo the monitor may remain blank and sometimes when i restart windows 7 , the monitor remains blank.I need to reset the CPU for that to happen Monitor : Dell U2515H Motherboard : SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK 2/USB 3.1 Bios and all drivers are up to date
  9. I am getting the download/upload speed i should be getting from my isp after changing settings from 1gbps to 100mbps so i guess there is no benefit changing the cable Am I right ?

I was getting incredibly slow internet connection(1/4 of my normal connection speed) and i had to change the link speed for the network adapter from 1Gbps Full duplex to 100Mbps Full duplex to get my internet back.I have all drivers updated and my pc is in top shape. Why was the change necessary ? How come is it possible that i got slower speed on 1Gbps than on 100Mbps

  12. Using noctua nh-d15 I change the profile in asus bios from Normal to Asus Optimal...I am not sure if it counts as OC

  14. First of all i would like to thank the LTT community for helping me build my first PC.The new build runs fine but i wonder whether the temperatures are good. Specs : Intel Core i7 4790K "Haswell" CPU Asus Sabertooth z97 mark 2/usb 3.1 Samsung 850 pro 512GB SSD EVGA SuperNOVA 750G2 Power supply WD Red Pro 2x2TB hard drive (RAID 1) No OC and CPU temps below are when the pc is idle
