  1. Those Inno3D coolers are beasts (had two 780 at some point from them). The problem is they are pointless as they use reference PCBs all that money spend on that cooler is just going down the drain without a solid PCB which is build for an better OC.
  2. Like all the other topics said the Gigabyte G1 is the 970 to get, best cooler and best OC potential.
  3. Currently the G1 from gigabyte is likely going to have the best shot at things.
  4. CPU: i7 3770K 4.5Ghz (Water cooler) GPU: Gigabyte G1 GTX970 Average FPS: 67.5 Score: 2826 Setting: Extreme HD I probably could get a bit more out of the vram, but my clock speed is truly maxed out, it exactly manages to run the benchmark before crashing briefly (not a hard crash more like black screen and back up again). Seems she is truly held back by voltage above anything else.
  5. I would go with gigabyte generally cheaper by a bit and support wise meh it is all equal to me, I know my rights and I am dealing with the stores I buy from not with the board partners. Also just personal taste I just don't fancy that ACX cooler.
  6. for a brief bench I had 1660 boost core 7800Mhz for mem. For running stable 1500-1550 core and 7800Mhz for mem. I really want to push more volts through this card it is still way below its TDP
  7. I would say no, seriously the 290 series needs something better for cooling and as others said the majority of the reference and Tri-X cards have been used for mining. If you want a rear blower card nvidea is your better bet. Also I wonder why do you truly need a blower? I mean I run an 800D case and ran with 2 after market R9 290x cards no issue and airflow sucks in in the 800D
  8. In afterburner it is +87 on volts and 112 on the power. Asics 70.5 Might have to get a modded bios for more control or is that no longer needed? (been a while since I toyed with an nvidea card last ones where a titan and sli 780s)
  9. How the heck did you manage that, mine craps out at roughly 1360 on the core (same card) With those clocks it actually has a chance to beat the titan I once had that one I got to 72FPS with the stock cooler.
