  1. So I recently bought a fairly decent laptop for when I start university and have been wanting to upgrade to 16gb from 8gb of RAM. I used crucial's scanner and I got two options of 8gb sticks of the same speed. The only difference was single and dual ranked? Just wondering which one is better or if I should pick one rather than the other. Thanks. Laptop: http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=X0N33EA&opt=ABU&sel=NTB

  3. I will update my BIOS tomorrow morning since I haven't done that at all, thanks for the help everyone, hopefully I can resolve this tomorrow
  4. I would go for a GTX 770 or R9 290 as they are pretty cheap now and maybe a little overkill for 1080p but there is some headroom there
  5. Depends what you're doing, if it is gaming only then the 4690k is the better choice.
  6. I have tried different slots however I don't think using one stick at a time would show that one stick is faulty if both are running fine at 1333mhz
  7. Basically I got some new RAM for xmas: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMY8GX3M2A1600C9R-Vengeance-1600Mhz-Performance/dp/B00D2LGT72/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1420156873&sr=8-2&keywords=corsair+ram When the ram is at 1600mhz (XMP profile) my pc is extremely slow, around 5 fps on BF4 ultra and moving windows is really choppy however when xmp is turned off and the ram is running at 1333mhz everything is fine, anyone know why this is happening? Specs: GA B85 HD3 motherboard EVGA GTX 750 ti SC i5 4670k @ stock RAM mentioned above
  8. I have an i5 4670k 6gb RAM and a GTX 750 Ti, what setting would increase my fps? renderdevice.renderaheadlimit 0 or renderdevice.renderaheadlimit 4 I can't really tell as mulitplayer isn't really reproducible Thanks
  9. Is there no way to get back into windows at all? :3
  10. So I just got a new PC and installed windows 7 on it. After using it for less than a day, after installing graphics cards drivers and other things, I updated my computer. The only problem now is that it won't boot to the OS, it flashes the gigabyte screen then restarts and repeats this, someone please help ASAP, specs: i5 4670k, GTX 750 Ti, 6gb RAM, B85 HD3 motherboard from gigabyte and yes the OS/hard drive is selected as the priority in the BIOS.
