Definitely try to go for higher ram with the higher resolutions getting closer and closer. 2gb is fine for now but probably wont be in the next few years. Personally i own a 770 cu ii and i love it but playing games like bf4 and other intensive games having more than 2gb would be nice. The 4gb card cant really utilize the 4gb either.

Run a program like speccy while you play to see what kinds of temps you are getting, if it is a temp problem just get a cheap cpu cooler like a hyper 212 for $20, if the issue is with the cpu. Make sure you clean out all your heatsinks as well because one hot component will create a chain reaction and raise the temps of all your other components

alright. so could i take the ethernet from the modem and plug it into the on board lan port and then use the two ports on the nic card for my computers?

hello everyone, recently i relised i have started to get a good pile of old pc parts that aren't really worth enough to sell so i figured i would give it a try and try to build a pf sense router, why not? -So, since it is a router does that been you would still have the normal modem with the cable line plugged into it to get the internet. Then just have an ethernet cable going from the normal modem to the pf sense box? -What would i need to let me give out a wifi signal from the router, i dont use wifi for much since it is just better and faster to just wire everything like my pc directly using nic cards in the router. Though it would be nice to have for my phone and any other devices that happen to be in the house. I'm sure ill have more questions later on but if anyone could help me out with these that would be appreciated, thanks guys.

Hey everyone! Recently I have been getting into 3d design since i want to be an engineer later on in my life. What i plan doing with it is designing cars/ car parts and also designing pc's/ parts. Just wondering if anyone on here knew anything about this and if they did if they could recommend some programs. I've been using sketchup for the last couple of weeks and got that down pretty good and decided i should move on a to a better program that could better allow be to do what i want to do. Thanks guys

i might end up going with intel just because there is hardly any support for small form factor AMD builds, which makes me sad since you cant really get anything better than an 8350 for the price.

hey everyone, I recently started taking a more minimalist approach to things so I decided i should switch the pc over to a smaller form factor. So since there is no mITX motherboards for am3+ which is unfortunate i'm planning on making the build mATX. Since i have never built a small form factor PC I was wondering if you guys could help me a out with a few things. What i have for parts: GPU: asus 770 CPU: AMD 8350 PSU: corsair hx750, though im not sure if i will be able to use it since its extended form factor Ram: Corsair vengeance pro 8x2gb Storage: samsung 840 250gb What i need: Case: maybe lian-li v354b, prodigy-m CPU cooling: depending on the case im hoping to fit a h100 or an h110 motherboard: maybe gigabyte ga-78lmt Any ideas would be appreciated

A few years ago when i used to play console i was really into competitive COD, playing it and watching it. Now that i am a pc gamer there really is no competitive side of it, only playing public matches against terrible players. I still like to watch competitive COD but i am not as involved with it since i don't actually play competitive anymore. I wish all the good pc COD players would get together to form something like gamebattles so we could actually challenge each other rather than pub stomp all day.

i dont use wireless anything except on my GS3, which i hardly use at home. My pc is hardwired. I've tried everything including resetting my router. They just aren't providing me the speeds i pay them to provide me.

Hey everyone, lately my internet has just been getting worse and worse every day. I tried calling my ISP (Time Warner Cable) and saying that my connection is slowly getting more and more terrible and they refuse to do anything about it, and i refuse to continue paying for something i'm not getting. So i'm in the market for a new ISP and i was hoping that somebody here could help me. I live in the New England area (conway, NH). If anyone around the area knows a good ISP i would love if you could give me some recommendations, even if you dont live in the area but you know what is available in the area. Thanks in advance. plug it into a different pci slot and a got a red light where my 8 pin is plugged into my 770 but i got a green on my 6 pin. obviouisly when the gpu was running fine they where both green.

hey everyone. i had my pc on and i was plugging back in a fan and when i plugged it in my pc died. i fiddled around with a few things then i tried to start my pc up with no gpu and it booted up fine. Then i put it back in and my pc wouldnt boot again. so i put my old gpu back in and once again it booted. Im worried that i may have killed my gpu. Any help or suggestions would be great
