  1. One thing to note is their warranty/ CS has gone through the floor. Reps stop replying to you, and contacting them on socials don't help. This is after their call trees route to nowhere (us- no one picks up) as well as their chat app (No one responds after the bot guides you through).
  2. But why even have a deadline on a process like this? If a user doesn't respond in time- instead of deleting something they paid money for, they should give me back my money in lieu of taking away the thing I paid them for.
  3. TL;DR- Users needed to move their Minecraft accounts to Microsoft. Minecraft was tied to seldom checked email; and MS deleted my account with no recourse. Imagine if you bought a DVD for a movie in 2011 and wanted to rewatch it in 2024. You pop it into your DVD player, and get an error message. It states because you didn't power on your DVD player last year- you can never play that DVD again. I'd imagine you'd be pretty mad. You'd wonder- why even have a time limit on this or require intervention, and vouch to never give money to the company that made that movie or DVD player again. That's exactly what's happening with me and my Minecraft account. If I paid for a game; I do so in the goodfaith assumption that I can play it not just now, but in the future too. To take it away without any recourse, refund, or compensation.. I acknowledge given the dollar amount attached, this may seem trivial; but- it's about the principle of the matter. It may seem like a small guesture- but I vow not to give MS a cent of my money going forward. I'm already paying for Google (I acknowledge they have issues too); and am moving the few folders I have on Onedrive since highschool over to GDrive and cancelling my MS OneDrive subscription in anger.
  4. Fake phones and how to spot them. Fake S23 Ultras and iPhones are being sold through buying-selling platforms like Offerup, FB marketplace, and Craigslist. These are complete with replica sealed boxes and almost 1:1 physically matching phones and software. (photo of a fake vs. real S23 Ultra; the only noticeable physical difference is the uncentered S-Pen placement) I've linked two videos below that show what to look out for, but unless you're buying a black light to shine on these boxes; it's impossible to tell a fake vs. real iPhone without opening up the box and inspecting things like the camera. Figured this could make a potentially interesting expose; exploring where they come from, as well as serve as a PSA to raise awareness of these scams. Fake S23 Ultra: Fake iPhone 15 Pro Max: Backdrop- Samsung Unpacked is happening in ~2 weeks and I figured there'd be some great deals as folks are looking to upgrade their S23s for S24s (wanted to replace my trusty 6 year old phone). I came across deals that were too good to be true, and after a bit of research, they were.
  5. Alright, but what can we do about this problem? Where the call of action that we add consumers can do something about it?
  6. This is the first LTT video I'm reporting, and I'd encourage others to do the same. The thumbnail is blatantly misrepresentative of what the video actually is- the Steam Deck isn't shown at any point throughout the video, nor is them torrenting a game on it. I thought the video would showcase them emulating games on the deck- and wouldn't have clicked on the video in its current state where it's showing how to rip games and saves off NES catridges.
  7. When pairing my xbox controller and wireless BT headphones to the same BT dongle, audio on the headphones cuts out; I believe I'm hitting a bandwidth limitation on BT itself. Is there a way to dedicate a second BT dongle I purchased just for the headphones? I can't seem to find a way to decide which BT dongle to use with which device.
  8. Request- can the video they are reacting to be linked in the description on YouTube please? I know it's easy to look up, but having something easily clickable would be nice.
  9. I found this which works, thought I'd share it. It doesn't let you share Postgres DBs, only SQLite though, but it's perfect for running basic queries, and is free. https://sqliteonline.com/
  10. I've found something called flatbase.io which seems perfect, but it's massively broken. Email invitations don't work, and signing up with gmail or outlook bugs the website out.
  11. Is there a website that can take multiple csvs, generate SQL tables that I can run queries against, and that's shareable with others, and that's possibly free? I'm conducting my first set of technical interviews with candidates, and would like something that doesn't require them to download additional software/ can be accessed through the web itself. I found these two websites, but they don't appear shareable/ are localized to your browsers instance. https://dumbmatter.com/csv-sql-live/ https://www.convertcsv.com/query-csv.htm
  12. I've disabled global c-states in the motherboard's BIOS and it seems to have fixed it. If something comes up, I'll update this post.
  13. Nevermind- not fixed. After restarting, the issues back. I've played around in a live Ubuntu environment and didn't face an issue. Another note on Windows is aside from the mouse lagging- the keyboard seems to have "stuck" keys, wherein a button I hit will seem "stuck down" so sommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmething like that. On one instance, I've had to unplug my keyboard to get it to stop.
  14. I think I've fixed it- I've installed the newest B350 chipset drivers from here; and the mouse and keyboard lag in Windows is completely gone since the past 5 minutes. If it comes back, I'll update this post, but yeah. I think it may have had to do with installing build 1803 from Windows and updating it forward; it downloaded all Windows updates and core drivers, but didn't install the newest chipset drivers which may have had to be done manually. amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/b350
  15. I've just upgraded my 1700 to a 3700x (specs below) with a clean Windows install and update to the newest BIOS available. Ever since though- I've had a seemingly random delay in mouse by upwards of a whole second at random intervals; with it completely dropping out (device disconnected noise), and I can't seem to figure out what's causing it. I'll drag my mouse to the side, nothing will happen, and then bam- my cursor has teleported to where it would have gone without the delay. There doesn't seem to be a delay when using the mouse in the BIOS. Curiously- I noticed it happening when installing Windows through my USB drive, which has never happened before. I've done the following: Clear CMOS/ reset the motherboard Disable Fast boot in Windows Uninstall and reinstall the mouse driver Install the newest GPU drivers from Nvidia Disable USB Selective suspending in Power Options Set the power plan to ultimate Enable memory XMP Specs Windows 10 64bit 19043 ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming-ITX (P6.6 BIOS; updated from 3.1 to 3.6 to 5.3 to 6.6) G.SKILL Flare X Series 32GB F4-2400C15D-32GFXR EVGA XC3 RTX 3080 Samsung 860 evo name ssd
  16. Budget (including currency): 250 Country: United States Does anyone have any recommendations for an ATX compatible case that can fit a 3090 FTW (3 slot card, dimensions below) that's also 8.25" wide or smaller and has enough room to shove those PCIe cables on the side? I've tried checking 20ish cases on PCPartPicker to no avail- everything is 8.5" or bigger, and I'm honestly consdering pivoting to an ITX form factor to mount it vertically in something like a S402. https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=24G-P5-3985-KR
  17. Re: the sponsor; sent this to my friend whose trying to get a PC made for themselves, and between gpus for ewaste or ones that cost nearly two grand, you're only going to get something with an igpu with that pc builder.
  18. Does anyone have a list for Seattle? I've been meaning to try more places- not just food or technology, but anything else under the sun too.
  19. Where can I buy it? There's no link in the videos description.
  20. The EVE monitor wasn't linked in the description- is that intentional?
  21. Title pretty much, it was supposed to begin 1.5 hours back. Did it get cancelled?
  22. That ASUS monitor is really expensive. I understand it's new, is 240hz, and probably has a USB-C hub + killer portable battery, but they also sell the M169B+ at a third of the price that is completely powered by USB so doesn't need to charge, is also 1080p, and is an IPS screen. That tripling on price seems a bit too much.
  23. 10:25- You can click this video right here. I'm rather certain YouTube disabled that; there's no video overlay for me to click on.
  24. I think I'm developing RSI symptoms so and remembered LTT put out a video addressing it; I checked the computer ergonomics video which referenced this, but when I clicked on it, the RSI video was private. Anyone know what is up? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYV0PsUvMjk Edit- Computer Ergonomics video linking the RSI one (check the description for a link):
