is it really that much more stable than windows 8? i've been on win 8 for over a year. then switched to 7 just to feel the difference. then 2-3 months ago i switched back to win 8. and it felt like windows 8 has better overall performance.

so i have a $1300 limit to maybe about $1400. and i live at the philippines. im gonna use the computer for gaming and maybe some video editing. i might use 2-3 monitors 1 32-40" TV and a 22" monitor ( maybe an extra 18" one). so here's my build Asus Z97-PRO WiFi ac Intel Core i7-4790K up to 4.00GHz (Quad Core) Haswell Refresh Processor NZXT Phantom 410 (Gun Metal) Crucial MX100 128GB Sata (CT128MX100SSD1) Palit GeForce GTX 970 JetStream 4GB GDDR5 256Bit so the thing is. i want some validation for the PSU. as im unsure wether it'll be able to handle a 970 sli in the future. and if it's a good choice. Thermaltake SMART SE 730W Modular 14cm Fan 87% Efficency and the other this is the ram. Gskill RipjawsX 8GB Dual 1600 CL9 (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL) or Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB Single DDR3 1600 CL10 the kingston one is single channel. and the gskill is dual channel? (am i wrong?) and aesthetically i'd prefer he black Fury x over the red gskill. it is also cheaper. so is it fine to go with the hyperx one even if my mobo is for dual channel? p.s. the total budget in php is 60k. and if your from anywhere else there is always about a 10-20% markup on the price for retailers here at the PH. edit- also im thinking about the GPU wether 980 or just 970? and the mobo. my first option was Maximus VII formula. also i have spare HDD's so. ahahah

will it shorten the lifespan of the 970? i know if it's properly cooled it wont affect it too much. but maybe in the long run?
