  1. No, its the same (the OnePlus X is an exception, that one got its support kicked as soon as it got marshmallow). I never have received more than major 1 update (the ones that lived long enough that is) in my N4's, S6 or S7 Edge. I have also only received 1 regular update so far on my "unlocked" phone, but all of the others before it were also unlocked and barely got any regular, security or new iteration update...
  2. You mean custom ROM? Eh... it outs of warranty, so i guess you can give it a try. Specs are still horrible for the time tough.
  3. Vertus 15,000€ cellphone would love to have you as an owner of it xD.
  4. On the other hand.... i would bow to a release date and pray for Microsoft in every step of their journey if this is a reality bound to happen, sooner or later next year: Easily worth 1000€ for me xD.
  5. It always comes down to the person and what they expect from a phone... For example, for 999€ i dont expect a phone to lagg, even 20-40% of the time, therefore the Note 8 or any other Samsung device that doesnt somehow work with Google to manufacture the next Pixel (a Pixel made by Samsung would be pretty sweet tough) is not for me, at all. I know tough that for 559€, the OnePlus 5 is pretty much what would work for me, but i already missed the early drop and if they shoot the market with a OnePlus 5T... oh man, someone is gonna get angry at this and i dont want to be that person xD.
  6. Only if you want to get "Biggerer". Anyways, if you choose the 2nd choice, i suggest you watch this video, in case you have not yet: It pretty much sums up Linus life and possibly, your future life too if you make this video as important as drinking water regularly.
  7. Well its either memes or LinusSexTips... yeah, i think the 1st one is better.
  8. Starting children on memes will have them ending up like Snoop dogg.
  9. Your too young to be on the internet learning life changing memes and watching formidably offensive youtube videos. This is just as educative as this forum will ever be:
  10. No, no. This: P.S: Just a joke, okay? I know its serious and it needs to be treated quickly.
  11. "Quality is much better than quantity. One home run is much better than two doubles." Yep. If its gonna leave a bad rep, why do it? Most people will get either a 7700K or jump straight onto a 6 core CPU, why is Intel literally making an I5 (which very few will buy because of the stereotype "i7 > i5 on everything and you should never get it over an i7" and its literally the same damn thing as the 7700K, except maybe an extra 200-400Mhz boost in OC performance!?
  12. The truth is that it works incredibly fast, wether cheating or not is morally okay for a small manufacturer (because big manufacturers never cheat...cough, cough...), this phone is still gonna be a flagship killer and match those of the Essential Phone, Google Pixel 2 and iPhone 8 in terms of speed. The midranger im hoping for this year tough is the ZTE Axon 8, man if it is what the Axon 7 was in audio and improves upon all else, i dont see any competition for it. Oh and this phone is gonna rekt really hard some Samsung Note 8 booty if it is half of what the V20 was, just even better:
  13. Well, in a way that kinda justifies the cost since those motherboards and processors must be insanely expensive and almost half the price of the machine alone.
  14. ..... Intel, dont become a Samsung/Apple here, your already drowning yourself on purpose, particularly more in european countries with huge VATs. 3000€ in Portugal x.x? Xeon territory is more cost effective then, at least some major company would buy a used one (current gen Xeons) over this.
  15. Apple should buy them (patent dispustes are so lame), they have proven to be excellent GPU designers and already had a great reputation while working with Apple. In that sense, other buyers may find them also quite enticing and enriching for their companies sincee they helped such a giant so far.
  16. They support ECC memory right? I havent seen an y reference to that yet.
  17. Personal conclusion: For 559€, im not sure it can be called a mid-ranger anymore... . Wheres the IP-67 in the very least , everything else is absolutely killer.
  18. If you are done, great. But i wont be listening from you anymore either, its taking space in my notification list.
  19. Yes, but it was just a discussion, not a wild animal cursing machine contest argument between Nick and me. I was wrong to claim things they didnt stated in the video, but im at least glad they noticed and replied back to show they make great content and will protect it with the right level of justice, while also clearing some of the confusion other users get. I got rekt, but Intel is still great and so is LMG and that is none of your business, when you werent called in in the 1st place. Thanks.
  20. Well it is true that there is no point in referencing what was said in detail in another video entirely, but from what he said before to what he said now is what made me comment the way i did. But yes, what you said is true. I suppose like he said, perhaps the 12-18 wont be competitive at all, but honestly i cant even stand looking at an I5 and I7 mainstream in an enthusiast platform. Well then i apologise if i offended the team. I suppose until Threadripper is launched, conclusions cant be made so deeply.
  21. I invite you all to visit this video comment section on how Linus went from "Intel screwd, they really did and you should definetly wait for Threadripper before making any rushed decisions" to "This was a great release, for those rocking Broadwell-E's you should definetly consider an upgrade, dont mind AMD releasing Threadripper with 64 pcie lanes or Epyc with 128 pcie lanes for the supreme enthusiasts, no no". I liked the video, but like many have stated Intel had a word and a ball pen when the script was made for this video.
  22. Technology baby! This resonates to be quitw advanced and expensive, so i love it :D.
