Hi all,
I am trying to figure out a situation to deal with future compatibility when I eventually switch to Linux full time (Whenever Win10 is EOL, possibly sooner).
My machine currently runs Windows 10 Ameliorated (AME).
Basically, I would like to run a Linux OS on the bare metal, and then run Win10 AME in a VM to run programs that absolutely do not work with Wine (Mostly music production tools).
My idea is that the host machine will be "secure" since it will be connected to the internet and will receive security patches on a regular basis, but if I keep the Win10 VM completely disconnected from the internet, will that be enough to ensure security? For the sake of simplicity, let's just assume that future software compatibility on Win10 will not be an issue.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.
