  1. polarity is right because only one wire came loose. The other one was always attatched so can't have messed that up. So the extra wires has nothing to do with the microphone? interesting. I'll cut the whole write tomorrow then and re do it all from scratch. Thanks. I'll get back to you if it still not working. thank you got such a quick reply.
  2. Hello. I broke my earphones today. A wire that connects to the ear piece came loose. It's happened before, then I soldered it back in to place. Today or came lose again but still not working after re attaching it. When I opened up the wire it looks this. Can somebody tell me what goes were? What do i do with the two spare wires that are not connected to anything? btw, there is a microphone on the cord. thanks for helping! /soldering noob ps, the headphones are for my motorcycle helmet.
  3. Mobo has the latest drivers..and im not booting from them. I'm just want them for storage. They show up in Windows just fine as 3tb drives. Soon I give up this and do the software version in disk manager...
  4. Hey. THanks for the replys. I've redone this process now so many times and never they show up in windows as 2 drive (in Bios they show as 1). Whenever I've redone the process and after head in to Disk management I get an Initialize Disk option where it wants me to choose if the Disks are going to be MBR or GPT. This to me is also so strange.. Another thing that is strange is that in the Raid management place (ctrl + i) when I choose the drives, they are 3tb they show up as 746 gb. Any thoughts on this? Could that have anything to do with my problem? I've tried to update the raid drivers but it says they are the latest edition.. Argh.. head ache! And no, using them as 2 sepparate drives is not an option. I'm going to run my webserver from these disks and need the Raid 1 to properly work..
  5. Hello! Long story short.. I've setup Raid1 in Bios and using the Ctrl + i function.. My 2 drives are now under one volume in the bios drive section. BUT when I get back in to windows I still see them as 2 sepparate disks.. I know most people seem to reinstall windows when doing this process but I really don't have the time for that right now.. Was hoping for some advice on what to do next.. I can select new mirrored volume in Disk Management.. I thought that was the "software" option.. Or am I wrong.. is that how it's done? Really confused here.. I thought I was going to log into windows and tada there it would be but raid1 drive ready to rock.. First time ever atempting this.. but I've googled the shit out of this and I can't find any information about how to continue after one is logged back in to windows.. Thanks for any help!
  6. Just for peoples information The solution was to Format the cloned SSD. I kept it just in case there would be a problem with the clone.. So there where 2 ssds in the computer containing windows. As soon as I took a leap of faith and formated the first ssd all the problems that I expereinced with the second ssd dissapered. All is now well.. Thanks for your help!
  7. Yea I'm starting to understand that now after having read pretty much every thread there is on this topic on the whole net.. BUT! It says on the box 410 mb/s write speed. And at best I have reached 170 mb/s. And that's the speed most other peopkle reach when doing benchmarks on this card.. But how can it then say 410 mb/s on the speces for the drive? False marketing??
  8. Heya! I'm leaning towards reinstalling windows from scatch. I tryed to do what you said but It's not possible to change the label of the disk that is running the OS so to make the change you sugested isn't possible. Perhaps if I booted from a usb stick?? Would that help?
  9. Hello! Long storry short, it took me a long time to get my new ssd bootable and running after cloning it. Everything seems to be working fine except windows update center doesn't want to work with me. When I try to open it I get an errormessage saying that "The file you are trying to locate does not exsist, perhaps you dont have proper administratory rights" (that is my transelation). But the intressting thing is that then the adress of the program says and it says E: and I'm running windows as C: however it was E: when I cloned it.. Is this something that can be solved or do I have to start from scratch? I would think regedit could solve this but I lack expereience with that sort of thing? Anybody heard of this before? All help is greatly apprecitaed!
  10. Yo! I'm aware about the name but I've read about a lot of other people doing what I've done. Doesn't the read/write speed gotta add up even though it's a drive made to be cache?
  11. http://www.amazon.com/MyDigitalSSD-Super-Cache-Solid-State/dp/B00EZ2E8NO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1412536682&sr=8-1&keywords=mydigitalssd+super+cache+2+128gb+m.2+sata+ssd Not too shabby feedback from amazon...
  12. Heya! So I just installed my new SSD (MyDigitalSSD Super Cache 2 42mm M.2 NGFF SATA 6G SSD). It boasts about having a Read/Write at 545/410 MB/S. When installed it now shows that at it's best it delivers 150 mb/s write speed. I am not a total newbie on this area, I've been using SSDs for many years but this is my first M.2 NGFF drive.. The disk is located in a newly bought Lenovo y510p. Any tips on what might increase the write speed? All I've done is cloned my previous version of windows to the HD. It starts like a charm now but the bootingprocess took forever. Almost 30 minutes cloning 35 gb from another SSD. Not cool. Thanks in advance!
  13. Heya! Hope you guys can help me out. To make a long story short my current MBP with SSD and 8 gb ram is not enough anymore for my editing needs and it's time to buy a new one.. When it comes to hardware I'm a complete rookie but I have a lot of expereince with computers however after having spent 3 days none stop googling and making research watching reviews etc I am NONE the wiser. Either the information is too basic or too advanced for me. I'm not getting the hang of what the difference is between a gaming laptop and one for editing. My budget is around 1500 dollar, preferably cheaper but well that is not the main reason I'm writing this, to get tips that is. I REALLY wanna learn what the differences are and why they are.. Any help is appreciated! I can add that I was very close at buying the Lenova y50-70 with 4k screen 16gb ram and 512 gb ssd but bailed out when I read on to many places that GTX 860M (Maxwell) is specifically for gaming and wont do well for editing. have a great day!
