At first I did found it very strange at first but it already grown into me, I've noticed that whoever designed it has been following the design trends for 2018, especially with the purple which kinda look like Pantone's colour of the year (Ultraviolet). For a Youtube or Facebook avatar logo, I think it suits really well as you can easily see LTT in the logo (it does looks like a bunch of lines at first when you blow it up). The banner however, I dislike the hexagon overlay, I've seen that used on many tech+gaming channels so I think it gets overused badly. I also think the tracking of the text could be more close together, they look too spaced out and makes it look weird and out of place. i would suggest if the text could be the former colours with the white text but the orange text would be sweet but that would contradict the new colour choices...so maybe instead, the Tech could be more bolder or the ultraviolet purple or 'why not both'? Other than that, I don't dislike it entirely but I feel it does needs some improvements, I do understand the reason of a rebranding because the former look has been around for years and sometimes you just gotta try and stay relevant. A percentage of people aren't going to like it anyway because they just don't like change but give it time and they'll forget about it. I find rebrands or even a graphics style change is quite difficult as it's not something that you can just change it around just cos you feel like it and you have to keep in mind that it's going to be there for years to come. I've personally took charge of doing a big style change for a LAN party in Australia called RFLAN, a lot of the long-time volunteers wanted a fresh look for our 60th event. So half-way through creating the assets, I've managed to implement a new graphics style halfway which saw a positive response in terms of accessibility and look and by our next event, we've fully moved to the new style design. Anyway, it surely looks like a new chapter for LTT!

I'm not 100% sure if I'm allowed to post here so if any of the mods have any concerns, feel free to do as you wish. For the past couple of years, I've been involved as a volunteer doing media work for Redflag Lan Fest. It's undeniably now Australia's largest running LAN party hosting a quarterly event for over 700 attendees at Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia. I can say the atmosphere of the event itself is jaw-dropping, and I wanted to try and capture that essence on every event, hence for the past several events, I've made these montages. The video is posted on our Facebook page which you can find it below: I have to admit, I really do enjoy making videos and part of that inspiration was from the LinusMediaGroup team so cheers for that! Video footage was captured with two Nikon DSLRs - D7200, D5200 Timelapse was made using a Sony FDR-X1000V Action Cam. Lenses I've used was a Nikkor 50mm f1.8, Nikkor 20mm F2.8 and a Nikkor 18-80mm F2.8-4 Other equipment including Tripods + Dolly, shoulder mount + viewfinder, LED on-camera lights and external mic. Sony Vegas Pro 13 was used for editing Adobe Photoshop CC for graphics stuff P.S. I hope there some Aussies here!

Lol I had the same idea, I bought my hoodie at PLE Computers and wore it over at RFLAN this past weekend. Such a great time to wear it too since its starting to cool down in Aus.

Anyone worked on their cars over the weekend? I wanted to keep my installs as discreet as possible and with a suggestion of a workmate, I've installed a set of LED spotlights (or spotties...whatever I'm Australian ) down in the lower grille. Took a lot longer since the I had to rewire the whole wiring kit with the set and work out to fit the lights with whatever I had at home. Probably need a small bar across for extra reinforcement but I'm quite pleased of the result Its not night time here yet but I'll post some updates soon.

I think LTT makes up a majority of Vessel views...
Fir35t0rm replied to Henry's topic in General Discussion
Usually I do notice on your LTT videos whenever there is a change of pace in the videos or some weird vibe that I'm fairly certain something happening behind the scenes for a damn good reason. Seems that was a massive mis-communication between Vessel and the users of what's happening and unfortunately you guys got copped by the fans a lot as a result. So instead of hating on poor old Linus....let's hate on Vessel for their crappy e-mail!!! -
Well I thought that this nightmare could not get any worse but I was wrong....very wrong. Here's a snippet from the news story: However, the Labor Party has received 60 complaints from early adopters of the Governments's preferred Fibre to the Node NBN rollout model that they were receiving a poor service and they would prefer to have their original broadband back, one example below: As an Australian, I'm am quite furious to see not only the Fibre to the Node still uses the ageing and fragile copper wire but the fact that people are complaining that their download speeds can degrade to much worse than if they were still using ADSL2 during peak traffic while being a complete blow-out of an 'infrastructure upgrade'. Looks like at this rate our broadband network is going to be left behind in measures unseen before and giving the amount that has been blown out, it would be at least years before we would have some kind of chance to meet standards with the rest of the world. Do anyone have any build threads in this forum? Putting my S13 off the road for a while, finally doing a few upgrades to it. Will be throwing in a t28 turbo from a S15, R33 lsd diff, set of coilovers and a bunch of small things that will help it run happy. Not after tons of power but still gotta be fun to flick it around

Aussie person here... ...only bought this thing about a month ago, waited for 2 months getting it on a boat from Japan and to get it all registered and road worthy. It's a 2004 Nissan Stagea 350RX Four. Based on the same platform as the 350z, this has a VQ35DE with a 5-speed auto (sorry these models never came with a manual) either on RWD or AWD. This one's a AWD. So current plans for this? New stereo setup (factory japanese radio band only covers half of the stations in Aust. YAY!), 18" rims, slightly lowered springs (about 20mm) and a v36 OEM exhaust with high-flow cats.

Not that I want my personal opinion get in the way but... Current government: Retarded monkeys that were dropped from birth. That said, given our current situation, the country is falling way behind the times and the government digging a larger debt tech wise. Our new inferior NBN solution is now projected to cost over $100 billion AUD, way much more than Labor's FTTP solution which is around $40 billion-ish, this is not including the running cost of having nodes everywhere as this was not required for FTTP. The metadata legislation is projected to cost $400 million a year but we don't know how much the government is willing to pay their share and I'd imagine it'll be stuff all. Prices for would go up for customers and they're already expensive to begin with. *sigh* Personally, I'm really tired of hearing more and more backward decisions from BOTH parties recently that I'm tempted to move up to Canada now. >_<

I doubt Holden would be developing anything for the new alpha platform as they just laid off 400 engineers. The only car that I heard that is planned to be on is the next Camaro.
