My grandma once called me freaked out complaining that the internet was gone. Turns out that her homepage on Chrome was AVG and not google.

So I'm helping a friend building a pc for the first time, just finishing up and I ask him to plug the HDMI cable from the monitor into the pc. Then he says: "The HDMI cable goes in the HHD? Right! But how do I do that when the HHD is inside the pc?" and looks at me like nothing have ever so confusing to him.
I literally couldn't stop laughing at him and still do every time he asks about computer stuff. Maybe a little rude.

So at my dorm everyone has an ethernet port in the wall of their room. Most people just hook their laptop or w/e up, but of course you can just as well install a wireless router. So that's what I did. Since I'm a nice guy, I let my friends use the wifi for their phones. 2 of my friends asked me how much I had to pay monthly in order to get WiFi. The concept of how a router works is apparently a well kept secret in Belgium. Probably because cable companies just install a WiFi router in your house, and suddenly the magical internet is there!

    Also from DK.

Looks like the XF270HU was quietly released along with the XB271HU.
It's not unusual that Komplett put stuff on their website the second they are allowed to, they are on the ball like that. It also doesn't surprise me that they try to spin the current price as a big weekend discount, as they alone have this monitor in their product catalog in all of Scandinavia.

The current 'Superweekend' price is 4795kr down from 6000kr - I expect 4795kr to be the list price when other sellers start listing it.
Amazon has a 600$ price tag on it, which fits perfectly with the MSRP of the MG279Q and the 800$ MSRP of the G-Sync versions.
    http://www.amazon.com/Acer-XF270HU-bmijdpr-FREESYNC-Widescreen/dp/B0173PEX34/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1448044729&sr=8-12&keywords=Acer+XF270HU

If Scandinavian/Danish sellers are doing any kind of Black Friday sale on this monitor, I expect the same bogus deal that Komplett is doing at the moment. Better wait for reviews.

Hopefully Acer have used a scaler that allows for the full 144hz Freesync range.

    Why no talk about XF270HU?
I recently discovered this monitor XF270HU, on sale on a Danish website.

So firs question, why can’t I find anything on this monitor other than a couple of news articles and links to acer’s website? Is it that bad? Or just no PR?
Second question, should I buy this monitor?
The normal price in Denmark is 5995 kr. (859 dollar)
Right now, it is on sale for 4795 kr. (687 dollar)
Is it worth it, considering there might be a better deal on Black Friday, and then again it’s Denmark.

    Thanks for input

This is because at 4K the cpu doesnt realy make that much sense anymore.
    You are mainaly gpu limmited.
As you can see, the scaling on both cpu´s is great.
The most interessting fps numbers are allways the minimums, the average and max fps numbers dont make that much sense to me.

If we gonne talk about a highend gpu like a GTX980Ti on low res gaming like 1080p.
Then the story is a bit diffrent.
But yeah buying a 980Ti for just 1080p gaming, doesnt realy make much sense in the first place.

Windows 7 will still receive support until 2020.  The thread title is a bit misleading.  This is when essentially free customer support ends.  You will still receive your usual Windows Updates.  Don't worry about it!

Well, are you only a user of the Forum or do you watch the videos as well? You can't possibly watch the videos, because @LinusTech brings it up time and time again as well:

People who are watching the videos regularly don't necessarily post on here. I have been the same for quite some time and infact am watching almost every video of Linus, though I don't feel like I have to spend all my time on here. Does this disqualify me from entering give-aways, though I am a supporter of his videos?

I highly doubt so. This community should not become one of those elitist jerk-circles where you're screaming "BUT YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!11 YOU DON'T HAVE NEARLY ENOUGH POSTS!!11"

    Aren't we better than that?

That's a bullshit "test" just like when people compare the 8320 to a 4790k.
The G3258 gets shit on by the 9590 in rendering and the 8320 gets shit on by the 4790k in rendering, guess what? They at different price points.

Stop this pointless AMD vs Intel bullshit.
