  1. My Vessel username is: JonnyCapOne Favourite video one goes to the P34W, though I'm not massively impressed with the laptop: https://www.vessel.com/videos/DkWN4qqW1 Favourite video two has to be Hard Pipe: https://www.vessel.com/videos/JYZEYDYx0 On a personal note. I don't believe that Linus should entertain the idea of giving his PC away. The case must be of immense sentimental value to him, having been a gift from his wife. I know I'm shouting into the void with this one, but please keep that PC Linus; it means more to you than it would to whomever receives it.
  2. You have to love Intel for doing this kind of thing. I'm running an 8350 at the moment, so if I won the 5820K I'd be investing in a motherboard and some DDR4 ram. And then my little brother and sister would get my old components as a hand-me-down for a much needed upgrade. They're gaming machine is running off a sandybridge i3, so not ideal.
  3. That's an amazing bundle! Favourite item: Kuhler 1250 Reason why: I'm using an H100i at the moment, but the pump is really loud. So I can really appreciate a nice quiet design. From the last few giveaways, I don't think I've posted enough to win, but oh well
  4. Have you changed/altered any drivers lately? I had a similar problem with an old Radeon 6870. Whenever the old girl hid anything over 600mhz it would blue screen the PC. While I don't suggest underclocking the gpu; it could be on its last legs.
  5. If you fancy some light surgery: try booting from that drive. How old is the rig? Is this a new issue? Sorry if you've posted this already, I'm rather inebriated
  6. Coolermaster CM Storm. Cherry MX Brown switches. Gotta' have dat bump.
  7. Do you have another HDD with an OS on it from which you can boot? It could be a dodgey Hard Drive.
  8. Seagate is usually good, though I prefer WesternDigital. My personal favourite is the WD Black 2TB. The prices have been coming down, and the performance is just top. If price is too high, the 1TB version is just as nice.
  9. Definitely. Take care with it, though. You don't want two broken HDD's. My money's on that Seagate drive being on the way out.
  10. Have you formatted the Seagate drive at any point? I don't know if you have vital data on it, but it may be something to consider. If that's not feasible, it may be time to try booting from your laptop's drive.
  11. That might be something to try when everyone is out of ideas. Have you tried rolling back the bios to a previous version? It could very well be -as GodlyGamer says- a messed up BIOS. If you decide to roll back: try to find the oldest BIOS that still supports all your hardware and is not flagrantly unstable.
  12. If you have another HDD around, could you try removing the Seagate one and putting in the alternative drive. If the problem resolves itself, the Seagate drive is almost certainly faulty in some way.
  13. This may be irrelevant; but when you go into the bios, is the SSD prioritised over the HDD for boot[boot prioritisation/prioritization]? It sounds almost as if your PC is trying to boot into a drive with no OS on it. Usually it realises this within seconds, and switches to the correct one -but check it out just in case. Let me know.
  14. You mentioned it was a new rig, have you flashed the bios to the most recent version? This kind of problem can happen if you use the stock bios. I had a similar problem before, the culprit turned out to be a semi-busted gpu. Probably not the case for you, but failing the bios -try that. Try removing the factory overclock on the GPU, I have a felling about that.
