Kained's Achievements

  1. I'm personally a fan of the tech you actually use and how it fits into working at LMG, including the rational so why x instead of y and lessons learn't
  2. http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/solid-state-drives/000021095.html The above is a guide to updating the firmware on intel SSD's you would need a version previous to the one you installed if you can get it from the URL the video shows, it talks about installing firmware from a usb @ 4:40 ish Other than that if its under warranty maybe talk to intel about the issue
  3. OK so we know the drive has some signs of life. I would suggest that the recovery environment needs a driver to be loaded to read the disk, this should be simple enough if you still have the disk that came with the intel SSD, once the driver has been loaded into the recovery environment try and repeat the steps above
  4. Hi, If you boot into the windows recovery environment load command prompt and use diskpart list disk see if it detects your disk at all, if it does list the volumes see if you can see your windows vol on there then i would suggest using bootrec to repair the mbr(Master boot record) and bcd(boot config data) Hope this is some help good luck
  5. Use tools like decrapifier to quickly bulk uninstall, other tools like ccleaner are useful too, when you aren't doing anything have a look at what your processor is doing in task manager(Ctrl + Shift + Escape) if it seems high good indication that stuff is running in the background, by using the tools i mentioned you can remove a lot of bloat / crapware
  6. My old sandybridge setup needs retiring, this would help towards a new build
  7. This could be a faulty stick / compatibility issue with your mobo If you haven't already make sure your BIOS is updated Also reset your BIOS to optimised defaults in case you have modified something After that it looks like an RMA as suggested by others, good luck let us know if you resolve it
  8. First time poster long time subscriber to youtube, as the first post suggests it often goes to first time posters so here's hoping B)
