i'd say if you're not doing strictly compute or multithreaded workloads your options are intel or waiting.
outside of compute bulldozer kinda has had its time by now..
hate to break it to you, but the i7 980x was introduced in 2010
ah, close enough.

I know. I plan on upgrading to a Samsung down the road. But it tide me over until then. I wanted to keep the price under $1500 and thought I had hit that mark, then some unexpected shipping charges popped up for some of the parts that put me over. So I had to cut back on the SSD. Mainly just using it for the OS for now.
shipping charges man, sneaky.

That's good to know. Is it easy to refill them later on?
Yeah I plan on wrapping the SSD in white & black vinyl, and add a NZXT Hue at some point. It IS an eyesore. But I will remedy that soon.Well, in 5 years i haven't had to replace the fluid in my aio in a pc sitting in the corner, plus. they are closed, meaning you can't refill them.

im looking for a cheap and quiet cpu fan that will keep my i5 4460 really cool and quiet. i would like it to be under 30 and have a custom look to it (black or blue) and not really a fan of how the hyper 212 evo looks
Well the only one that rwally still exists is the 212.

Well having annoying fans is really annoying when you doing work and trying to concentrate on doing something. Once you experience a full silent PC you will never go back.
