  1. I have access to the router, it is a netgear n300, and I am unsure of how to go about setting up the VPN server. I know thats what I need to do, just not how to do it. I went to routerlogin.net and tried to figure it out but didn't know where to look
  2. Hi everyone, I'm running an experiment on a lab computer that I want to remotely monitor. The computer is running windows xp so I am using the windows remote desktop client, as teamviewer and other remote monitoring programs aren't supported by xp anymore. I need to set up a VPN to the lab router so that I can be on the same network and access the remote desktop program, which only functions when the computer you are controlling is on the same network as the remote computer. How would I go about finding the server address to set up the connection, and do I need to enable VPN connections on the router settings, and if so, how would I do that? Thanks, James
  3. Feel free to ask for clarification. thank you kind sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar

  6. So I am currently in th market for a new phone, although my current one works fine, but it is going to my sister. I want the samsung galaxy s6, but I'm unsure as to whether I should wait for the s7 to come out in feburary. What should I do?
  7. My dad is hard of hearing, and even with his closed back headphones and the volume all the way up on his computer, he still can barely hear a thing. He is a habitual netflix watcher, and without an amp such as the asgaurd 2, he can't watch some of his favorite shows without difficulty. 8. I have a ASRock 990 extreme3 mobo, and unfortunately it does not have onboard wifi, and I was wondering if this adapter might work to give me ac wifi capabilities? http://goo.gl/ZjIhy8
  9. Hi, recently I used the reset option on windows to clear some junk programs, as well as some malware that my AV couldn't completely get rid of. I have everything set back to normal, except my lock screen, which can only be set to windows spotlight, and when I try to change it to a picture windows wont let me, anyone know what's going on?
  10. Wireless doesn't really matter, but I guess it would be another added bonus if you can find it under $200
  11. Hi, my dad's 50th is coming up so I figured I would buy him new headphones, as he lost his nice pair of bose QuietComfort 15's on plane about a month and half ago and has been using crappy apple earbuds since then. He likes to listen to music without much bass, so that is not a huge factor, and the price point would have to be under $200, noise cancelling would be a bonus, but not required. Any suggestions?
  12. This is great, it was actually for my mom who needed to do it because my dad is away in our NH house without wifi, and he is a web developer at her company. I just knew I would get a quick response on here so I told her I could handle it.
  13. Hi, recently I was asked to perform a tracert, and I don't have any idea what that is, can anyone help?
  14. Install windows 10 and use the phone activation option, and it should register as geniune windows software, it worked with my copy of windows 7 on three diferent PCs
  15. Yes, the old OS files are still on your computer, in case you want to revert. If you want to delete it you need to open the disc cleanup utility, click clean up system files, and select the previous windows files to be deleted
