PINKmonster325 got a reaction from steffen_anywhere in Depression, anyone have help?
I have depression, and I can certainly recommend a therapist. Having a therapist doesn't make you crazy, theyre actually super helpful. If you need it, they may prescribe meds such as an SSRI which helped me personally a ton. Not really much to say but its better to be open about the issue to your friends and family so they can help you rather than keeping everything to yourself.

Deskop 9/10, You have 2 frickin xeons, ecc memory, and a beast graphics card, even if it is a bit outdated. Awesome system.
My motherboard+apu recently died, so now I am stuck with:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 830 @ 2.7GHz
Mobo: Who the hell knows, its a generic dell motherboard
RAM: 3x2GB Samsung RAM + 1x8GB G.Skill Ripjaws X 1866MHz
GPU: XFX Radeon HD 7770
Storage: 500GB WD Blue drive, 1TB Seagate something or other drive, 1TB WD External usb 3.0 drive, and a 120GB Kingston SSD
Case: Generic dell case, literally no case fan mounts so I hot glued 2 high velocity 80mm fans to the top and the sides (each fan is >200cfm) pwm controlled by an arduino becuase the motherboard has no pwm fan headers
PSU: Corsair 430M
Monitors: 1x Acer 1600x900 cheapo monitor, 3xHP L1750 (1280x1024) monitors I got for free from my school
Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow tournament edition
Mouse: Logitech g600
Sound system:
Vintage NAD 3020 Preamp/Power amp for custom built stereo speakers (6.5inch midrange + 1inch silk dome tweeter) + Adcom GFA-545 power amp for my custom built subwoofer (12inch dual subwoofer in an enclosed box)

PINKmonster325 got a reaction from Armie in Is it safe to bend right angled sata power connectors?
As of now, I wouldn't expect any damage to the cable. Try not to move it around too much though, because it could put too much stress on the cable. If you're really that concerned though, you may as well pick up a sata cable with a straight connector for a few bucks on amazon or something.

PINKmonster325 got a reaction from Bansh33 in LTT Themed Source 210
So... I was bored so i painted my case. I had no clue what color to paint it so i decided on the Linus Tech Tips color scheme of orange, grey, and white. I went and bought a few cans of spray paint and got to work. I ended up painting the bulk of the computer grey and white, and adding orange as an accent. I had extra paint left over so I painted some of the inside of the pc.
Specs are crap but here they are if you were wondering:
CPU: AMD A10 5800k
Mobo: Msi FM2-A85XMA-E35 mATX
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 1x8GB 1866MHz
GPU: XFXForce AMD Radeon 7770
Case: NZXT Source 210 Elite w/ Window
Storage: WD Caviar Blue 500GB 7200
PSU: Corsair CX430W
CPU Cooler: Zalman CNPS5X Performa
Here are a few pictures of the finished product, I'll link an imgur album at the end

PINKmonster325 got a reaction from MagicalAardvark in Need suggestions for my first build
You should really use http://pcpartpicker.com/ , it searches different online stores and tells you the lowest price. It also checks for compatibility issues and such. Aside from that, it looks like a great build. As far as the power supply goes, I have used corsair psu's on the past 3 rigs I have made, and they work flawlessly. The case you choose honestly doesn't matter too much, unless you are worried about silence or airflow. If you want an ssd, I suggest samsung or kingston. I used the Kingston SSDNow V300 Series SSD, and it is perfect so far. Good luck on your new pc!
