Yeah close the side panel, doesnt matter if you have no fans on it. and the problem seems like its the room temp thats the issue here. 37c in a room is hella hot. you can only go so far with fans. i would try to lower the temp in your room somehow. and again 90c may not be comfortable but its still safe. gpus will even work in the 100c range, but then it starts to be a little bit dangerous

85c during gaming (i hope, and not idle) isnt that bad. i dont see anything wrong i would start with cleaning out dust and doing some cablemanagment. if you havent done that already. i wouldnt open the side panel as it can interrupt airflow.

if you dont got the money, then you dont get it, simple as that. And dont come with the argument that the corporations are rich and its overpriced. it doesnt matter. People still worked hard on it and they deserve something in return.
