pretty close would suggest they are somehow on par. Also this is spec'd almost exactly like the OnePlus One without NFC and a smaller battery and a different screen.
So since all the other variables are constant, no I don't think that the smaller battery life along with AMOLED will somehow compensate at all.
Only thing good about amoled (suggestively) is that it has better colors vs LCD. If it does use the latest samsung panels that are in the S6 (which are more efficient), it might fare better, but it won't be as good as a bigger battery regardless.
