  1. Adata XPG Spectrix D41 DDR4-4133 16gb (2x8gb) AX4U413338G19 CL19-19-19 @ 1.4V OR G.Skill Trident Z 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3600 CL15-15-15-35 @ 1.35V I can get the Spectrix cheaper ($30) but i know that Trident is a very good ram but both are b-die. Being higher speed can i underclock the spectrix to get good speeds @ 3600-3800 for Ryzen 3000 and have the benefit of higher speed if needed in future? OR Ballistix LT Sport 32gb (16gbx2) 3000 CL 15-16-16 / 3200 CL 16-18-18 for the same price? Its half price for Micron E die but only 3000/3200 speed with no assurance of tight timings as those above.

    NEW PSU Tier List

I have an EVGA G2 750W that is working perfectly in my 4790k/2080 build past 5 years. Thinking of upgrading to 3900x. The G2 is in Tier A, are the RM750x or HX750 that much better than G2 (both A+) to spend ?
  3. Gaming mainly. I don't mind spending more to get 3900X as i did 5 years back with 4790k as it pays off in that time.
  4. New ryzen 3000 series have given me an itch to upgrade my i7-4790k more than 5 years on which means new mobo and ram and faster ssds. My current build: CPU - i7-4790k GPU - MSI 2080 Gaming X Trio Ram - 16gb ddr3 Monitor - Acer Predator XB271HU 1440p @ 165hz G-Sync SSD/HDD - 256gb MX100 ssd for OS and assorted HDDs. PSU - Evga Supernova G2 750W Options: CPU - 3700x or 3900x yet to decide. Mobo - Asus x470 Crosshair VII Hero is cheaper for me ($330) compared x570 Gigabyte Aorus Pro ($325) & Ultra ($370), x570 Msi Gaming Pro Carbon ($380), x570 Asus ROG Strix - E ($410). The crosshair seems better than all these x570 boards and the next better upgrade seems to be Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master ($445) but also $115 costlier. Am i correct in my analysis? Ram - no idea, 16GB best price/perf ratio. I read 3600 is the sweet spot for ryzen 3000? maybe 3200/3400 that can oc to 3600? SSD - best price/perf upgrade to my mx100. Maybe the mx500?

  6. Got scammed by G2A. After reading praises of it here i thought i'll try it out because game seemed cheaper there 3 days ago, game being Divinity Original Sin. I even paid for their G2A shield to be safe. I got the gift and everything looked fine, gave the seller thumbs up because everything worked but next day steam pops up and says it has removed my gift. I raised a complaint after chatting to support but G2A have put it on a complicated process to prove i'm not lying. Even after doing that they haven't replied after asking what they are doing. Been a terrible first experience. Also twice i have noted that when you chat with support person it asks to send you an email of the transcript but i never got any. I wanted to keep it as a record but both times no email arrived.

    Strix 970 Overclocking

Hmm. Just checking on the website there is only 1 Gaming 4G card and your default clocks are of OC mode, mine of Gaming mode. The 4G Lite Edition has very low clocks so thats def not mine. The other 3 are not Gaming series cards. Also the box does say OC Edition for me. http://www.msi.com/product/vga/#?chipset=Geforce%20GTX%20970&chipset_no=1195 I tried to changing in the MSI gaming app but the stock clocks are the same as gaming mode. Did you use MSI app or those clocks came right out of the box?

    Strix 970 Overclocking

I am stuck at 1414 boost clock for the exact same card. So in afterburner you added +242 to core?

What was the first video game you ever played?

The first game i ever played AND loved was probably Commander Keen
  12. This is the max clock for my MSI 970 4G. Just a bump of +5 on core and mem will reset the clocks to default during benchmarking.

[Unofficial LTT] NZXT H440 Owners Club

Built my first ever rig and chose this case. Love its look. Not the cleanest but my first try. Btw does the NZXT logo glow? I must have missed its connector.
