Its a huge opportunity for the city to make even more money off these "pylons"... NYCs internet is incredibly bad, stimulating a little competition and development wouldn't be bad at all.
With 1 computer running a download off a single server i highly doubt youll be able to come close to maxing out the connection, but 2 or 3 computers in the house hoarding a ton of data at the same time, I think its possible you make it to 10gbps
I wonder if companies will be able to rent (or use) the fiber they're installing to give better service... Im in midtown and still only have a terrible copper connection with verizon
