  1. Only if it came with and is designed to take DDR4 will it take DDR4. It will not even physically fit in a DDR3(L) slot.
  2. For AMD, above 62c is considered throttling, so that's likely what is going on here. Check to make sure that your CPU fan is physically working (spinning) and that it speeds up when you're gaming/under load.
  3. From what I've read, it uses DDR3L, not DDR4.
  4. Yes, although you should be able to add any other DDR3 (not necessarily same model) and have it still work fine.
  5. Do you have the 8GB model? If so, half of it (4GB) of it is soldered on and the other half is a 4GB SODIMM that can be removed and replaced. If you remove it and replace it with a 8GB stick, you will have that 8GB stick plus the 4GB that is soldered on, so 12GB total. I see no reason as to why you'd need 12GB of RAM with a mobile i5 but yeah.
  6. Well, if you know you're running low on RAM, just add more. Stick with normal DDR3 if you know it works well, that motherboard was not designed to be 100% compatible with DDR3L, especially if you mix it with regular DDR3.
  7. What are your CPU temps specifically?
  8. From what I've dug up, 4GB is soldered on (permanent) and there is one slot for a SO-DIMM chip. If you put a 4GB chip in that slot, you will have 8GB total. If you put an 8GB chip in that slot, you will have the resulting 12GB max total.
  9. I see it as more of an improved spinoff than a generation/successor. They both exist at the same time, and the 212E is generally still regarded as the better cooler for the money compared to the 212X. There's also other brands that make good stuff for the price range too, like Cryorig.
  10. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3276573 http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-LSP650-650-Watt-Power-Supply/dp/B000WJ7SI6 Hmm... Looks pretty old. It's 38A on the 12V, so it's more like a 500W than a 650W. It really depends on what you want to run off of it. If it's only something like a 750Ti I don't see why you couldn't live with it.
  11. The guy that once something flew in his mouth, wasn't able to see.
  12. lbr the "front page of the internet" before the New Tab page came out was about:blank
  13. What are some good, generally slower, songs that you guys would recommend for testing various sound quality? I'm looking for something I can use as a general standard between car speakers, PC speakers, headphones, etc. so a good amount of mids and treble, and bass that is there and you can hear but not extremely overkill (plenty of rap songs out there for that). Thanks!
  14. http://www.motortrend.com/news/spied-next-gen-porsche-panamera-interior-loses-its-sea-of-buttons/ Why is this making headlines? Yes, we know it looks nice. However, Ford has been using capacitive touch sensors for a while now, and there's a reason they're going back. Physical buttons are still much better for usability.
  15. Same. They look suspiciously like the awful CM SickleFlow.
  16. I'd go for the Be Quiet Silent Wings.
  17. Huh? For a single 980Ti, a 550G2 will easily handle your system, even with overclocking.
  18. True, but NVMe should be treated separately from M.2, because "M.2" covers a really broad range of SSDs
  19. Depends what SSD specifically. Just because an SSD is an M.2 version doesn't necessarily mean that it'll be faster than it's 2.5" SATA equivalent, and just because your board has an M.2 slot doesn't necessarily mean it'll support NVME drives natively.
  20. "M.2 SSDs" aren't necessarily faster. Many of the lower-end ones often run on the exact same SATA 3 6gbps interface and therefore speeds.
  21. I know, which is why I stated "for $30 brand new" as I know some people who are quite afraid of buying second hand parts for whatever reason (warranty?).
