  1. I know I'm kind of reviving a dead thread, but I just wanted to put a conclusion in case anyone else comes looking for the same answer as me. I ended up with an Alienware AW3418DW and I could not be happier. The colors on it are amazing, it has virtually no ghosting (none that I can notice, even in dark games like Dead Space) and G-Sync. Mine does 120hz without a problem and I'm absolutely loving 4k.
  2. Yea all my research shows that... Ah well. I guess I'll make a decision on what I want exactly once my Z35 sells. Also, I never realized this but my previous monitor was a TN, so I was expected TN quality out of a VA panel (had no idea there was different panel techs until I started doing research) so yea.
  3. My only issue is, for that price I could afford Asus's 49" inch display... If I'm gonna spend >500 I would like more than 34-35"...
  4. Hey guys, I'm looking for a ultrawide (between 34 and 49 inches) that has the least amount of ghosting. I'm not a huge stickler for ultra-awesome color accuracy, nor do I care about 4k. I'm perfectly happy with a 1080p panel. I just want 120hz minimum, G-Sync, at least 34 inches (although, 49 inches would be great too) and minimal or no ghosting. my budget (after taxes) is about 1,000USD. I don't mind going used either. I'm scarred by my Acer Z35 which is a VA panel, that has horrible ghosting. So much so that within 0-5 minutes I get motion sickness and have to stop playing games. It's bearable with ULMB on and at 100hz, but I didn't buy a ultrawide at 144 to run at 100hz, let alone without g-sync and on a super dim display (ULMB lowers the brightness to a maximum of about ~40% of maximum screen brightness). [Edit]: I would like to add I have tried every trick out there to minimize ghosting on this Z35. Turning down refresh rate, brightness, messing with overdrive, etc etc.
  5. Yea it's really nbd, I just thought there would be no harm in asking!
  6. I'm trying to reach out to any of the LMG staff for any answers. Every single phone I have ever purchased (HTC M7, note 4, and my current phone, S7 active) have all been because of Linus's reviews. I have never regretted any of my purchases because I feel Linus covers both the bad, and the good about the phones, so I know what I'm getting into. Anyway, I'm just wondering if there is an ETA on the Asus ROG phone review. It (allegedly) comes out in 3 days, and I really want to get it, however I would love to see a review from Linus first. In one of his recent videos (forget which one) he mentions he is working on it, or it's on the list to do. I don't have Twitter, Instagram, or whatever else the LMG staff uses, so I can't reach out there. Here is the only place I can think of. Your friendly neighborhood trash digger, Balto.
  7. I have the unnerfed 660Ti PE as well. I can get 1240ish but nothing higher then that. I stay at 1202 because it's perfectly stable and an extra 30mhz is pointless lolz.
  8. Umm, why not grab something like a 7770 or a 650ti? I don't know how much room you have in that case but a 650ti Boost isn't to expensive... Although, you could grab something like a GT240 1GB if you can find one. I used to have one and it ran BF3 at like 45fps on lowest.
  9. I have seen several people on that forum with 7950's and 7970's so idk lol.
  10. This would be a massive upgrade over my 955BE @ 4.2 lolz.Chances of winning are probably <1,000,000 to 1 though lolz.
  11. I apologize if this isn't allowed, if it isn't, I will simply delete this thread. I just thought for my first post I would do something that I haven't seen anyone else on this forum do. Lets begin... You need Valley benchmark, you can get it here: http://unigine.com/products/valley/ This isn't a rule so it's not in the rule section. Guys, this is just a friendly competition, we aren't here to show off, we are one big family, so lets just have fun, shall we? Rules: You must run it at Extreme HD present. You must press give a print screen of the actual score. Press (F12) to do so. (Screenshots can be found @ C:\Users\"Your Windows User Name Here"\Valley\screenshots) Post your name, score and GPU, like this (Name)-------(GPU)-------(Score) SCORES NOT POSTED WITH PROOF AND IN PROPER FORMAT WILL NOT BE ADDED TO THE SCORES!
