I do care, but then is the same old shit as always with the internet so I'm gonna vote NO.

Is not even about that... is more like for marketing matters(tin foil hats can wrap this around with their conspiracies all they want I don't care)... if Microsoft is stalking us then we should call Linux(oh yeah you can disable it, good for you), Apple, Google, Yahoo, Facebook... etc stalkers... no one has privacy on the interwebs. This is nothing new.

Depends how you configure the install. It can be as low as ~7 GB or as high as ~25.

They have features and ways to get it down to about 2 GB but I'm not sure if regular copies can be configured to do that, I think that's specifically for OEM devices like tablets where they do that. (They run the OS compressed and decompress certain aspects on the fly as they are needed, or something along those lines.)

Some things you can do to lower install size: reduce or turn off page file, turn off hibernation, uninstall default apps.

fracking4oil reacted to JefferyD90 in Which Intel drivers do I need to install?
YES Stick with the OEM copy of the driver.  Its possible (and highly likely) that ASUS did NOT build the board to Intel specifications.  Often times, ASUS over builds it.  Thus that chipset will want new parameters.  Now I am HIGHLY for certain that ASUS would not have built it so out of spec that the generic Intel driver wouldn't work, still though you should use the OEM copy.

LOL no. You can boot in safe mode and change a registry key to fix the BSOD. Its a very simply fix.

OP, changing to RAID from AHCI is not a problem, SATA RAID is an extension of AHCI anyway and I am sure Gigabyte are clever enough to code the software to make all the required changes to the OS so it doesn't crash your system (which it hasn't). You can use RAID drivers on an AHCI setup which zero issues, you cannot use an AHCI driver on a RAID setup due to the various different RAID arrays and the differences in the way they operate.

If you wish to change back to AHCI follow the above instructions then reboot into UEFI, change back to AHCI and Windows will boot and set itself up for AHCI instead of RAID.

I would say to these laws... The government is slow, and chances are it will take them years to fully implement something of this nature. And realize I paid all this extra money for a Corvette but am never aloud to take it over the promised to increase speed limit. As I am waiting on others to decide if I am even able to go the extra speed limit at all.

So unlike amd, Intel regulates their boards relatively heavily. Any z97 atx board will preform within 5% of any other (you can see some substantial differences in the x99 platform due to higher quality/cost ceiling), so literally all you are doing is paying for a different bios/extra features.
The Msi gaming series is always a good thing to check out if you want options.

How to tell that your system's getting old:

It can't play new titles with the graphics levels you want.

Simple as that, if you're having no issues and you're happy with it then why upgrade?

I find it funny when people complain about $100 for an OS that they use on a daily basis for years on end, yet don't have a problem with forking over $60+ a shot on a game they'll play for maybe a couple months (which wouldn't be possible at all without the $100+ OS).

Well I challenge you to set up a company with hundreds of employees and somehow figure out a way to keep everything running and everyone payed while giving only free stuff!
    Or
Try to set up a company with 2-3 employees and basically give stuff away for free! (Note: Employees need to be payed!)

I'll talk to you again when you have succeeded in either of the above ...

Sorry but: 1- They are systems (mostly now tablets running Windows) still being made with 512MB of RAM and 1GB of RAM. Those are unable to run 64-bit version of Windows. You need 2GB minimum.
2- Also disk space is only 16GB or 32GB of them. 32GB is already bordeline usuable with 64-bit Windows 10, and that is whith the new compression system which will be enabled automatically on such system
3- Tell Intel to stop making 32-bit only CPUs
4- Tell companies to update their shitty 16-bit programs, andupgrade
5- Tell companies to update their shitty age old peripherials to new ones, and stop being cheap-ass.
Only then, dropping 32-bit Windows will be considered.

Currently, they are the best players for touch experience. VLC is not bad. Still waiting for the universal app version, so that it can run outside of Windows 10 desktop/laptop, such as Windows 10 mobile.

You seam to be one of the very few asking for it, when I am looking at the user feedback.

Same problem in Windows 10 Pro. All you can do is DELAY. Yea it sucks. I posted a user voice on it: https://windows.uservoice.com/forums/265757-windows-feature-suggestions/suggestions/8232813-hide-updates
I think the day Microsoft will release a breaking update, it will come and bite in their ass, and I think manufcatures will stop delivering their drivers via Windows update, and opt to automated updaters which sucks for us, as we have mroe background process to have, but at least gives us control on drivers.

They said limited time. So my guess it is for free promotion period.

Open the Store, click on the down arrow (the universal sign of download button) next to your account picture. Update all apps. Now you can open multiple instances of calculator.
Currently it is the only app that supports this.

Actually in Windows 7, you get sleep, depending on your device. In Windows 10, the order is identical between all your types of devices. Also Alt+F4 on the desktop will show the shutdown menu.
You can also right-click on the start menu, or do Win+X, and you have the shutdown opion right there.

You have to wait to be indexed, sadly. Of course, your program needs to be on the start menu as well.
OEM will decide. Consumers vote with their wallet. Don't like it, don't buy the device. While I expect some manufcatures to do this (usually cheap ones), not all will do it.
Beta software is in beta, yes.
Actually the release you are experience is actually pretty behind by numerious builds of what Microsoft has in hands.
