Looking for LED strips compatible with LED/Fan controller
justinxx2001 replied to justinxx2001's topic in Cases and Mods
I've never seen a connector like this one. It's pretty small and I'm not sure what the connector is called. Plus I would like it to be more than basic LED's. Hopefully it supports the individually addressable LED's like the fans connected to the controller do. -
I bought a cheap RGB fan kit from amazon and it's actually not that bad. I only needed a little air flow and this thing goes above and beyond for my needs. I am using the fans inside my FreeNAS build. I do not have much experience with LED strips that can do more than one color at a time. I'm looking for some LED strips that will work with this fan controller properly. I don't know if this controller can do more than one color at a time on the strips but I can on the fans. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LBGD6ZT/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza

I really like the way the headphones look. They have to be better than my razer ones that hurt my head.

vessel username: justinxx2001 https://www.vessel.com/videos/Yj4PbcgKj https://www.vessel.com/videos/JYZEYDYx0 I think vessel is a great idea.

I didn't leave it unused until it stopped working. All I did is open it up and clear the blockage. The rad was stopped up too. pump still works. So I assume that is what made it stop working.

I'm not sure. I would think more from storing the radiator or something like that...

This is v1.0.1 or so. I'm actually going to enclose the computer in poly-carbonate and actually submerge it in a fish tank with fish. I started it off as if I was going to mineral oil it but I don't think it will be fun swapping out parts and such. I needed a case and I had an empty fish tank so I started my "mineral oil pc". I'm in the middle up doing a bunch of upgrades to it. going to be a lot better.

Yeah I agree with you if it was my main rig. But its not. It's just a hobby computer that Iv'e been messing around with. Project I'm working on with my gf. I have a new psu and that dang heat sink is so heavy It's bowing the mobo. I also have a 6950 that's going into it. I used compressed air and water to clean out the rad. The process included filling the rad with water and pushing it out with air at very high pressure. I would do it about 10 times pushing air in the same side then I would flip it. I'm pretty sure if there were any flakes ready to flake off they are now gone. Yeah, I know I can't see into the future but i think it should hold up for quite a while. When I finally get around to upgrading my server I'll actually do a proper cooling setup.

1. no I haven't 2. because it wasn't working and i'm doing a pretty heavy mod with it. i have 2 of them and a custom computer case that iv'e built 3. I am fully aware I voided the warranty. I have no access to the account that was used to purchase it. It was bought for a client build using his newegg account and the deal went sour so I ended up with the cooler and a couple hard drives. 4. I really dont see how there can be alum shavings being the only moving parts were plastic. The impeller has no direct drive to the motor that's driving it. Its a twist on a brush-less motor design. the only downfall with the cooler is the connection from the hoses to the block/pump. Poorly designed to say the least. All it takes is the damn cpu getting a little to hot and it has to much pressure for the 2 o-rings to contain. My pump didn't have any air in it but did leak when it got hot/clogged up. But, the one I bought second hand leaked pretty badly. Neither of them were ever pulled apart. I am actually going to epoxy the fittings in so they will never leak again. what I'm building is a dual loop design using them. will go from pump1 to rad1. from rad1 to pump2. from pump2 to rad 2. from rad2 to 2 used for filling/small res. "" back to pump1. doing it that way will keep it very close to the way it was designed as far as the pressure goes. The tubes are only 1/4"

i pulled the pump apart. it all still looks new. there is a lot of blackening on the fins of the heat sink. i wish i knew at what temp copper scorches. the pump still works with no issue... the rad from what i can see is aluminum i don't see any copper parts. to corrode. i scratched the pipe the fins connect to and its aluminum...

I dont know how well you guys can see it but that's it at the base of the fitting. I mushed it up and used compressed air to blow it out.
