My 6600k has been causing me issues for a while now
Buju3000 replied to Klark's topic in Troubleshooting
I was thinking maybe it has something to do with the M.2 drive because the problems started happening then. After reading some other comments here maybe the 6600k just isn't great for multitasking in 2019? Spectre/meltdown may have really put a strain on the performances of these CPUs? Im not sure, but if this is the case that's super poopie. -

7950 Gigabyte WF3 Crossfire Clube 3d royalking 280x
Buju3000 replied to Buju3000's topic in Graphics Cards
Okay. So updating this post now that I have had some hands on for anyone else thinking of pairing a 7950 with a 280x, Good news: My Gigabyte 7950 and the Club 3d 280x paired in crossfire and worked for the most part flawlessly. My FPS in BF4 was pushing 120 FPS and dipping into the 80s at 1920 x 1200 ultra. Bad news: My 700w PSU sadly was not enough. I experienced a power off after a few hours of gaming. And it was so hot I felt I experienced an over heat. Also, my 1366 sabertooths PCI slots are almost a top each other. My top card was running crazy hot. Hitting 93c at hottest point. With the shortage of 7000s card due to influx in coin mining, I have listed my 7950 on ebay and just took the upgrade from 280x > 7950. Hope this post can help anyone in my shoes or thinking of doing same thing, -

Not sure Skilled. But has anyone on these forums personally paired a 7950 with a 280x of any brand? I would love to hear some first hand feedback on the performance. -

They are hard to find in stock. Where and when I can they are almost if not as much as a 280x. And I really want a club 3d card, love the company and want to support them. -
Okay. I am getting a 280x for Christmas to crossfire with my current 7950. Aside from knowing the clocks on both card will be the lowest of the overall overclock of both cards. I have a few concerns: First: Will my current Gigabyte card crossfire with a Club 3d Royal King 280x with no problems (Newegg now carrying Club 3d products in North America and I have been wanting one of their cards for a long time now)? Secondly: Will my 700W power supply power both card without problem? Thanks for the heads up in advance, I love this community and these forums, you guys rock. TYVM! Great answer. Unlike the jackass who says save up for a 780...

HEY YOU GUYS! So... I currently have a "Bloomfield" (i7-930) processor in a x58 sabertooth mobo. Recently I been thinking of taking the upgrade path. But... SHOULD I?! I play a lot WoW. I know WoW isn't a very demanding game but it is a very processor dependent game. My 930 is OC to 4.0 24/7 stable. Has been for 2+ years now. I also run a 7950 @ 1125/1450 and I do play a lot of AAA titles on the side as well. What I am wondering, What benefits, if any, would I see jumping to Haswell, or say even a 8350? Will I see any improvements in my gaming experience? Basically looking for a reason to drop 500+ USD other than just to have the new "hotness". Thanks for any help in advance.

What are your 7950 clock speeds and voltages?
Buju3000 replied to RoboLancer24's topic in Graphics Cards
Revision 2 has that speed. Factory installed VRU heatsink added. 8/6 pin connectors instead if 6/6. NEW BIOS: Voltage bumped up to 1.25v. Max core clock bumped to 1GHz (900/1000 boosted) Slightly more aggressive fan RPM curve. Same great Wind Force 3 cooler Voltage bump causes card to run a little hotter. Additional heat + more aggressive fan curve makes the card run a LOT noisier under load. The 1.25v core easily allows for 1100-1150 OC. 2 of these in Crossfire are INSANE. Using Afterburner to tweak the fan curve to be quieter only impacted temps by +2c, even for the top card in Crossfire. For 60HZ refresh cards rarely go over 40%-50% load I have Revision 2 and have OC stable at 1150/1475.- 4 replies

OHI! I'm currently in the market for a SSD. I'm looking for a 240G+ drive for 200USD or lower. I have been shopping around and reading as much as I can. Just want to know what my best options are in real world scenarios. Any constructive feedback will be much obliged. Also, upgrading from a 500gb momentus xt Hybrid drive. How much of an upgrade will a new SSD be? Thanks in advance!
