  1. I'd been getting some blue screens lately, and I suspected it might be the BIOS on my MOBO (MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS), since it gave me some issues when I first installed it. After flashing the BIOS through a USB drive, whenever I boot through UEFI, it doesn't recognize any drives as a potential boot drive. In the BIOS, it does recognize there is storage, but won't allow me to actually select any of them. So then I tried booting from CSM, and the only drive it recognizes under the Boot Priority is not the main boot drive. The difference through CSM is I can manually pick my NVME boot drive right before I enter the BIOS. The issue is, when I actually go into the BIOS, the only drive the Boot Priority recognizes is a non-boot drive. Even if I manually select my NVME drive (which takes multiple restarts before it will actually boot through it), when I boot windows, it resets my settings on most applications to their default settings. When I first installed this MOBO a couple of months ago, I had a similar issue with trying to get it to recognize drives, but after flashing the BIOS, it seems to have gotten a lot worse. This is the second day it's done this (I put my PC to sleep, and this issue arose yet again). I managed to boot into Windows, and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do within windows to try and fix this.
  2. I'm in the market for some headphones in the $50-150 price range, but with the main focus being that it has some bass. I've been using the ATH-AD700X's for everything I do on my computer, which is mainly just gaming, listening to music, and basic video editing. While I think they sound great, a lot of the music I listen to feels like it's lacking on the lower end. The main things I'm looking for in a new pair of headphones are that they're over ear and closed back, as well as comfortable to wear for long sessions. Any recommendations are appreciated.
  3. If I went for the Silicon Power A80, would I be alright cloning my 2TB HDD over with no problems? I was going to get one of these cheaper NVME drives, but I remember one of the reviews on a different drive saying it wasn't allowing them to clone their data from a HDD over
  4. Finally deciding to switch off my 2TB SSHD because everything just feels so slow on a mechanical drive, and I saw the 2TB 970 EVO PLUS on sale for $300. I was about to spring for it, but after looking at what others had to say, some people ended up saying that they didn't see much difference when using their system, only in benchmarks. Most of them said they had an 860 EVO before, and that felt pretty similar in terms of performance. On Newegg, the 2TB 860 EVO is about $250. All I really do is gaming, and 1080p video editing. Would it really be worth the extra $50 for the 970, or should I just go for the 860?
  5. In the Time Spy benchmark, it's anywhere from 1000-1500 points less than systems similar to mine

  7. For a while now, I've been having performance issues in most of the games I play, and while I bought a 144hz monitor, I feel like my PC struggles to maintain a consistent 144hz or higher even in less intensive games. Right now, I have an I7 7700k overclocked at 4.7GHz, and an RTX 2070 at stock speeds. In games like League of Legends, it struggles to maintain above 144fps on high settings, PUBG on all of the settings as very low/low usually is around 60-70fps, and with Modern Warfare being anywhere from 30-50 fps on low settings. I run a dual monitor set-up, but on my second monitor, I will just have discord open, or Firefox with 4-5 tabs open. Even before I had dual display, the performance was still not the best. Any ideas as to what the problem could be would be much appreciated.
  8. I've been using the Corsair Void USB headset for about a year now, and these things are absolutely uncomfortable. I got around $100 to spend on a new headset, and I was looking at getting the 2019 Arctis 5 since I could just grab it at my local best buy. Headset recommendations would be preferred, but I'm also open to trying out a decent pair of headphones, and just buying a separate mic for gaming. Main thing I'm looking for is comfort, since when I have free time I'll usually have pretty long sessions.

  10. I mean, it should work, but it won't be utilizing the 1600mhz, and would downclock to 1333mhz.
  11. I actually went ahead and used AOMEI, and everything is working as it should now. I appreciate the suggestion though.
  12. Recently upgraded from my 2014 Naga to the Logitech G502. At first, the regular scrolling didn't feel right at all to me, but after about 2 weeks of using it, it's growing on to me. What made me jump for the G502 instead of the M65 was the overwhelming amount of positive reviews.
  13. Just finished cloning a drive using Macrium Reflect, and everything works fine. The only problem that I'm having, is that it seemed to clone the exact size of my old HDD, and now on my 2TB SSHD it has the rest of the unused space paritioned off. Attached is a picture of what's showing up on Macrium. How do I go about expanding the partition, since it won't allow me to do it through Windows Disk Management?
  14. I went ahead an cloned using Macrium. I haven't tried booting from the drive yet, because I noticed that when it was cloning, it partitioned off the rest of the storage on the SSHD. I don't really know anything about how partitioning works or anything in storage, but I'll attach a photo of what it looks like. Disk 1 is the SSHD, and disk 2 is the old one. as you can see, the 931GB is sectioned off, what does that mean?
  15. So would I do a clean install of windows 10 first onto the SSHD, and then clone the data over after, or what?
