  1. What wireless standard does the wireless card in your rig adhere to? Also, is there a way you can test your connection rate to your wireless device? Is this speed a consistent result?
  2. Thanks for all of the input everyone. I think I'm going to probably go for a 6700k build.
  3. The 6600k only has four threads. The i7-6700k is hyperthreaded.
  4. Sorry about the premature posting, I've edited the original and added intended usage.
  5. Hello everyone, I'm looking to upgrade from my old and dying fx-8120 rig and I was just needing a little assistance. I mostly game, but I am planning on delving into streaming at some point in the near future. The dilemma is, should I opt for the faster and overclockable 6600k, which should in theory be better for gaming, or should I opt for the eight threads that the Xeon has to offer? Upon upgrade, with either cpu, I will be running 16gb ddr4 and an r9 390. I also have a 280mm AIO that I'm planning on reusing as well. I would love to hear any input.
  6. I was leaning towards that. Any idea how much more performance I could expect to gain in comparison to getting another gpu?
  7. Hello everyone. I currently have an fx-8120 OC'd to 4 ghz along with an r9 390 in my current rig. My current display is 1600p@60hz and more often than not I'm finding performance to be lacking when it comes to a stable 60fps. I'm trying to decide if I would be better off upgrading to a newer CPU platform, or if I simply need more GPU horsepower. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

  9. Thanks guys! One more question. Is it safe to assume that the tubing is just made out of rubber with the same melting points?
  10. Hello everyone, I recently installed a raijintek triton AIO in a very small chasis. The only way it fits is if the tubing rests touching the radiator. I noticed the rad gets warm to the touch, and I was just wondering if this could cause any issues like damaging the tubing?
  11. I had previously opted for the MSI twin frozr design on my rig, but I'll have to check that out.
  12. Very good point that I hadn't considered. Definitely food for thought.
  13. I had read a bit that supports opting for a non reference design due to those reasons. I just wonder if there will be adequate cool air for the remainder of the components.
