I was for about 15 months to stop me from smoking cigarettes. I have now quit the e-cig now too. Been clean of everything for 3 months now.

Modern CPUs dynamically change their frequency based upon the tasks that they are currently doing. This is normal, you have no need to worry.

The main abuse that the Macbooks get are key caps being rearranged on the keyboards to spell colourful words. We've had one student spell out PENISINARSE on a keyboard once. Quite an achievement as he needed 2 Macbooks to get all of the letters!

Now that's what I am talking about, a succinct rational explanation.  It doesn't matter if it is subjective as it is personal preference (not that logic only working in OSX is subjective ), what matters is it's genuine. 
 
Also I understand the enterprise issue, many schools in Aus. won't buy apple servers due to cost/re-structuring, as a result when teachers bring in macbooks etc their is an audible sigh from the tech guys.  Not to say it doesn't work, it's just not as easy as cloning a pre-configured image for dept issued laptops.

I'd take the Macbook Pro everyday anyway because you can bootcamp it and have both Windows and OS X on the same machine. Win/Win really. Well Win/Apple.

I like OS X because it is easy to use. It is the only operating system that I can use Logic (music production software) on. Its not all rosy though. I'm an IT Manager at a high school which has a Windows Server 2008 R2 infrastructure and Apple end user devices. (iMacs, Macbook Airs and Macbook Pros) Apple products were definitely not designed for the Enterprise environment. Every major release of OS X seems to break some software that we use and it isn't patched until the next major release of OS X.
