Actually the did accept the RMA no questions asked even if the recommended power supply is 750w. So i now have the TX850 M 3080 booted but i got artefacts due to simingly VRAM issues, so i RMA'd that as well. Ended up buying a 3060 ti as it was the only thing i could find in stock.

Switched to a corsair TX850M it now booted but I am getting artifacts which means RIP GPU, sending it back for RMA.

Yes, there was a power spike from the RTX 3080 and the PSU wasn't able to handle it.

So let me get this straight. PCP is both getting paid by companies to do "white papers" aka paid positive reviews. And then they review the products again on the "review business" PCP. They got exposed and people say that the person exposing them is on the wrong? What the actual F. They should choose one of the 2, either doing white papers or real reviews, this is text book conflict of interest.

It doesn't matter if it is Intel Nvidia or AMD or any other tech company, they still get paid for the white papers. You expect me to believe that Company A pays you amount X to do a white paper, and if it sucks you are gonna tear them a new one in your review? No chance of happening, because you will lose the customer on the paid review business. Behind the two companies are the same people.

You bring up a good point.

I believe that with rumours regarding Navi and how Ryzen's architecture is, AMD is moving towards a scalable GPU architecture with an infinity-fabric type of interposer. And even from the Hawai Era the GPU compute tech was miles ahead than their CPU dep. Even with VEGA there is a ton of futures that stay unused because developers wont optimize for AMD. This push with intel even on the low end with an APU will bring some good change in the scene.

I believe that this is done to purely go for Mixed GPU marketshare, as this will push more developers in some ways to optimize for AMD tech, so low end PCs + consoles with AMD GPUS will be over 50% of gaming tech marketshare in the long run. Plus this enable more programmes to run better on apple since they prefer intel CPUs with AMD GPUs and this might even help to thwart the CUDA ecosystem (at-least on the low end)

Paragon_X reacted to iRileyx in Ryzen Temperature offset
The 1600 doesn't have the temperature offset as far as i know, that's only 1700x and 1800x's.

Also the stock cooler for the 1600 doesn't have any led's, so its not defective in that sense.

The non-TG P400S does have a fan controller with up to 3 fans connected. That + the sound dampening matts and top fan covers are the only things separating P400 & P400S, but the TG versions may be different (as previous models didn't include the LED strip as well)

only thing i can spot is that the "s" includes sound proofing panels and the non "s" doesnt have them.
it mostly comes down to looks and a very bit of noice and temps

It's great, although I have the non-tempered glass version. It's well-priced and looks great, it could be a bit quieter and have more drive bays, but those are the only complaints I have
Maybe the TG version has those included? I bought mine before the TG one released and I also bought a 1M original Phanteks LED strip separately so it all works together.

this could drastically change results as the reason that VEGA would be so good its the hardware optimization on top of architecture so there is still a possibility for things to improve quite a bit.

LC Power, I would stay away from them, mainly cheap PSU's with low quality.
No problem with taking a 550W though, the Focus 550 from Seasonic is right under 80 USD at newegg, also you might want to have a look at Corsair's TX- lineup
