You could try getting the Canadian consumer protection agency involved and see what they have to say.

I'd say it's worth it, especially in the long run with newer titles coming out (Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition (this game I want for early 2018), Middle-earth: Shadow of War (on my late birthday wishlist), Ghost Recon Wildlands (also a wishlist thing), etc.). The 780 isn't a terrible option either, but I'd put in the extra USD $50 and get the GTX 1060, as it outperforms the GTX 780 in the first place. Nvidia advertised the GTX 1060 as being as fast as the last-gen GTX 980, so we get the clear picture of just how fast the GTX 1060 is.

from my understanding the 1060 3gb would be slight improvement to the 780 ti, so it should be better than the 780, especially for newer games.
rx 480's are not available in this price range as of now. yeah if you can get the cl go for it. Buying new, the warranty is nice too.

If price isn't an issue just get yourself a Note 7 and call yourself a boss
But if it a bit limited I suggest getting the OnePlus 3, I'm using the soft gold one, it is an extremely beautiful piece of hardware with godlike spec (Snapdragon 820, 6GB ram, 64GB internal storage), a good-to-decent camera, AMOLED display, 95% stock android for like, $399 - while something like that from Samsung with cost you for double that price.
What's more impressive is that unlocking the OP3's bootloader doesn't void your warranty, provided that no damage is done to the hardware by unlocking BL

Happened to me recently. Lg software variant has issues with botched updates that cause software bricks. There are a few issue with the LG G series phones that date back to the G2 and still exist on the G5. There is a capacitor on the mobo that comes loose and bricks the phone (apparently very common).

I'd be excited for this if I didn't expect my 2013 rMBP to last me at least another 4-5 years.

It's not terrible (okay it's 2016, I'll admit its pretty bad) but its usable. I used a friend's Retina 15" before and man what a difference it is. The viewing angles and the resolution is fantastic but what really impresses me is the depth of color. My Air looks like someone painted grey over the screen compared to a Retina.

i won't upgrade until I need to.
I upgraded my 2007 mac when I needed more RAM to run VMs for school (the 8x better battery life, much higher resolution displays, better cpu, and better iGPU were also big perks).
I likely won't be running VMs on my Mac after I graduate in a year, so 16gb of RAM should be enough for me for a while (right now I sit at 15-16gb....but I also have 30 chrome tabs + a VM + a few more chrome tabs associated with the VM).
My old MBP from 2007 still works very well actually. After Yosemite it became noticeably slower (I never tried El Capitan), but up until Mavericks I had no issues using it (it was faster/snappier than my XPS 15 w/ 8gb of RAM and an i7-840qm).

why even get that for gaming? something I still dont understand, people thinking of gaming when it's about a mac, an efficient system for productivity.

How often are you using your function keys that you need feedback from them? I'd much rather have extra features/usabiltiy than tactile feedback on the rare occurances that I use a function key (plus, 3D touch would be enough tactile feedback for the infrequent use that they get).
Razer basically did do it with the Blade Pro a few years ago (it wasn't the function row and it wasn't touch, but it was a similar idea...although it was just a customizable quicklaunch, which is NOT what I expect this to be).

wowowow. I'm at 1334 cycles and yes they're rated at 1000. I'm debating right now whether or not to simply replace the battery on this or spring for the new MacBooks. Honestly, I'd rather keep this Air than spend the money on a Pro but if a Retina Air comes out, I'm totally spring on that.
