BunnyHunter67 got a reaction from SupaKomputa in Is my psu dying?
So I checked all of my connections and my 24 pin connector has never been able to fully clip into the motherboard. I made sure it was as connected as it could be and my pc started up completely normally (CPU fan included). So I think that was the cause, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

yes, having single channel memory will affect your cpu performance.

Thanks guys, I've settled on the EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2.

Yes! High end systems like an i7 6700K and 1080 SLI only consume about 350 - 400 watts. Power consumption is highly overrated and PSU calculators available online don't help much (because many of them over-estimate the amount of watts to cover their asses). Go for an i7 7700K and overclock the hell out of it, trust me, it won't draw more than 110W worst case scenario (and please buy a good cooler, you'll even be fine with a 6700K but the 7700K runs a little hotter due to higher clock speeds and denser packing of transistors). Hope it helped

I know I could do it some way with a virtual cable. But I don't know of a program or way to do virtual audio cables.

Don't worry, these fan headers are a new feature that allows you to connect case fans to your graphics card, so you can control it with GPU temps. (Rather than through mobo or fan hub)

Well it doesn't really matter when it comes to fan count. or fan size. or fan RPM.... the only real thing that matters is the CFM you can push through your heatsinks. Now, having more fans, bigger fans, or faster fans can certainly increase your CFM, just because a card has 3 fans doesnt mean its going to beat out cards that have 2 fans.

EVGA's ACX 3.0 fans are awesome (2 fans). MSI's Twin Frozer 6 fans are awesome (2 fans). the cards with 3 fans on them are also awesome. Largely speaking, their cooling potential and heat dissipation are all pretty close to each other. There would be nothing wrong with getting any of them (assuming we're talking aftermarket 1070's, the blower style coolers tend not to be as good as open-air coolers)

As far as which one to get, get whichever you think would look the most badass in your system. Performance and cooling for any 1070 in similar price ranges will all be pretty close (with a small variance for silicon lottery).

Yeah, you'll be fine. I wouldn't bother upgrading since the 1070 produces so little heat and needs so little power. A CX600M isn't amazing but I'd honestly be OK running one with a 1070.

Sell R9 390 while you can.
RX 480 will have similar performance at lower temps, less power consumption and at around 200-250$ price.

Sell that R9 390, buy GTX 1070 when it comes out, and later upgrade your monitor.
