  1. I'm planning to get a gaming laptop for Black Friday. I'm just really worried about getting the best out of the battery life and I plan to take care of this laptop real good as soon as I start using it. Is it recommended to charge a laptop right after taking it out of the box to 100% before turning it on? And also is it best to do the first charge from the electric wall outlet just itself or is just a expansion outlet fine? This is the laptop I'm planning to get: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834232202

  4. Everything about this card looks and is amazing. I'd love to win this for my first build!!
  5. I also read somewhere that the 970 is less power hungry? Hell, why not anyways, it's a newer model and about the same price or even less than the 770, right? Lol, I don't think I'm gonna overclock mines anyway. Maybe in the future. Oh and I'm gonna probably bump this thread a week or two before or around the week of Thanksgiving because I'll need some help from everyone to finalize picking out PC parts with me! Edit: Updated parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Y6sfVn http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Q9HpVn

  7. Sup guys and thanks for the replies, never realized it'd be so quick lol. So I'm in San Francisco and I'm planning to use this 1440p monitor. Edit: Is 128GB SSD enough for just the boot/OS?
  8. Hey all! So I'm planning on building this $1500 gaming computer, and it'll be my first ever computer to build. I got help from some of the community out on YouTube from one of Linus' videos and here's the link to the parts they helped me out with: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3Zw8P6 I'm also planning to buy all the parts on Cyber Monday and I'm sorta in this dilemma where I want to stick with these parts or wait until mid November because of the newer computer part models coming out real soon and that the parts might even get cheaper for better parts than the one in the build I picked out from PC Part Picker. I'm also planning this to be my all-around computer - gaming, video editing, Photoshop. For gaming, I hope to play real good games that actually put your parts to work like Battlefield 4. So what do you guys think? Advice, suggestions, thoughts? Please help a newbie out!
