Wesleydn got a reaction from LeighPing in Gigabyte G1 gaming GTX 970 EKWB WF3 waterblock.
It was all in an H440, but i took it out as the power button doesnt work, so want to send it back and to get fixed.
Also load temps where 55-60 in there with 360mm front as intake and 240mm top and intake (also tried outtake).
Temps are a lot better that its not in the case.

not really.. i can drop the temps by 15-20 by taking the panels off? i would rather go for a bigger and more spacious case. also give me more modding/upgrade room.

nice lan and video.
South Africa may be more expensive to build pc and get parts but they do have a nice lan every year. Even ASUS, MSi, EA and other big names attend

Wesleydn got a reaction from chickenkill in does increasing power limit woid warrenty
Lots of GPU's have coil wine,
Some resellers will take them back and swop out for a new GPU.
Second if its just happening in Heavean then dont stress at all even if its every now and then.
If its happening all the time and its still under warrenty, you can try trade it in but at the end of the day it wont affect your gpu at all, just your ears
-
Wesleydn got a reaction from chickenkill in does increasing power limit woid warrenty
no it wont, lost of people use MSI after burner and put the power to 110% as it lets your GPU draw more power and wont kill your card
It will also not decrease your cards life and shouldnt affect temps much
Voltage will increase heat and decrease life span of the card and possibly kill it

Wesleydn reacted to 79wjd in [Unofficial LTT] NZXT H440 Owners Club
What you do really doesn't make much of a difference...
I've ran three different configurations and had no noticeable temp differences:
360mm intake up front, 240mm exhaust up top (with a rad), 140mm exhaust out the back.
360mm intake up front, 240mm exhaust up top (with a rad), 140mm intake from the back.
360mm intake up front, 240mm intake up top (with a rad), 140mm exhaust out the back.
Ultimately, I settled on the 360mm front and 240mm top intakes with a 140mm exhaust out the back as I find it quieter to be pulling air rather than pushing air into my face (the top vents face me).

Wesleydn got a reaction from GTX in Stick with H440 or get a Air 540 for watercooling
Anything other than distilled water + silver coil either stains parts or kunks up faster than normal.
I would suggest going for colored tubing over colored liquid but you will be fine either way.
I could look over the list.
Brands shouldnt matter as long as you get the right parts, eg cpu block with G1/4 threads that the pip connection has a G1/4 outter thread with what ever inner thread your pipes uses (my pip i used the following XSPC G1/4" to 1/2" ID, 3/4" OD Fitting

Wesleydn got a reaction from Geekazoid in Anyone know of any *affordable* white PCB RAM?
the heat pips help with heat.. ram produces a lot of heat when under load and why not go for something that will make them run cooler and last longer?
