  1. That matte aluminum finish has got to be the best feature. When I am carrying something around with me I want it to feel good and look good, and this looks like it does both.
  2. I was pleasantly surprised that Linus enjoyed the back buttons, and that they weren't that hard to get used to. They seem like one of the best features of the phone, given the fact that they reduce the bezel so much.
  3. Geek_feng on ebay, he has tons of cool keyboard stuff store link He uses comic sans for all the descriptions so you know you can trust him
  4. Agreed, I expect this to be the #1 option on the poll. They are great and all and worth the money if you have enough disposable income, but if not its hard to justify the benefits.
  5. Yeah I love it! I'm actually curious as to how many people prefer Cherry MX and how many just haven't bothered to try/buy one. It grew on me like a fungus (a fantastic fungus). Glad to be part of it
  6. I'm not trying to tell you you should, this is simply a curiosity of mine. Personally I didn't even know they existed until a while after I got my first mechanical keyboard, they kinda seemed odd and foreign to me. Upon becoming a regular browser of /r/mechanicalkeyboards I learnt that the people who had bought HHKBs were almost always in love with theirs, while all this time I had written them off as crazy people for spending that much. At this time I was in the same boat as I assume many of you are in, they are super expensive for the most part, and I had already spend a lot of cash on a Filco. That is, until my saviour came, and that saviour is the Leopold FC660C, a decently affordable Topre keyboard. Many of the reviews for it say that it is a nicer typing experience than a HHKB, but I personally can't say anything towards that as I haven't used one. Now here I am typing on Topre keyboard and loving every single keypress. If you do have one, lets hear about it! For more info on Topre key switches here are some links Lots of into on this page: Here You can find some info on this page: Here Want to buy one? Here is a good place (Shipping can take a while though) Happy Typing everyone
  7. Seems like a nice group, so I'll post what I've got. I first heard about Mechanical Keyboards about a year ago on LinusTechTips, and since then my love for them has not died down (yet my wallet wishes it would). I currently own two Mechanical keyboards, a Filco Majestouch 2 and a Leopold FC660C. I love them both but the FC660C is my daily driver for the most part unless I need some numberpad action. Before I get into this I would like to say I am a Colemak user, but I will probably make a post about that at some point. Sorry for the bad pic quality, didn't feel like going outside for lighting and my wallet is too empty for a good camera Filco Majestouch 2: My first mech, I have changed the keycaps twice now. The first time I bought I 37 key grey mod kit of ABS keycaps from wasd and used that for a while as I didn't want to have Qwerty Letters on a keyboard where I primarily use Colemak. Then I took it to the next level as I was kinda bored with it, so I plasti dipped it grey and got a full set of PBT keycaps and a PBT Dota R4 Key. Honestly it felt like an entirely new keyboard (it need some repainting in places as I didn't bother with a clear coat) Leopold FC660C: Now this keyboard was the biggest surprise for me, I thought Cherry MX keyboards would be my preferred keyboard judging by my shoes, but boy was I wrong. This keyboard may not be the best looking on the block but typing on it is incredible. This has been my first Topre board, so I haven't experience a HHKB or anything. Its like the decently attractive girlfriend who is hilarious, very worth it. Typing sounds like rain drops and feels like little balloons or frogs are under my keys (sadly neither of those things is under them). Its pretty long but the arrow keys and Delete key are a nice touch. I love this thing. TL;DR: I own a Filco Majestouch 2 and Leopold FC660C, Filco is slightly modded. FC660C is my daily driver because Topre is incredible.
  8. I would love to see how after effects performs with one of these. @mrsemiformative
  9. Beautiful Phones, hopefully this will throw a theoretical first aid kit at HTC https://twitter.com/MrSemiformative/status/340549840914223104
  10. It would be great to have so I can have a place to store my C70 inside it.
