Looking into a joystick myself for SC and E:D. Watch your vids every single day. Usually not long after they are released as I am often up late and you guys tend to release new vids around 12-4AM CST. Don't even care if I win anything, though I'd like to, really just doing this to support you guys.
  2. 8/10. Really solid gaming rig. But why only 4.2Ghz on liquid?
  3. No I haven't. But nor have I synapse other than for my deathadder chroma. Corsairs definitely seems a lot more complicated but that's not always a bad thing. It seems that there are a lot more possibilities on the K70. I've watched a lot of vids showing amazing profiles for the K70 and am planning on buying one. Is the blackwidow as customizable as the K70?
  4. Just show him some vids on YouTube of what the K70 is capable of thru its software. All of the awesome lighting profiles and whatnot. The software is leagues ahead of synapse. I like Razer and currently use a Deathadder Chroma, but there's just no denying that the K70 is the superior keyboard of the two and the most advanced currently available.
  5. Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-03 ( not staying in it. Just temporary until I get ready to make the custom loop.) Motherboard: MSI Z97 GAMING 5 CPU: i5 4690k @ 4.5Ghz (Stable at 4.7, haven't tried higher) CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO GPU: HD4600 but trying to decide on a 970. Was thinking of going MSI to match the mobo but really like the Strix and the AMP! Omega. Going to be buying the first on New Years and a second shortly after Memory: 16 HyperX Fury Red @ 2400Mhz HDD: 1x Old WD 240gb from an old PC, 1x WD 1TB. SSD: None yet PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 850w OS: Windows 7 64bit Monitor: Dell 18" from previous PC. Soon to upgrade to a 1440p 27" ( any good recommendations? ) Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma Keyboard: Stock Dell. Trying to decide on an RGB kb. 90% leaning toward K70 Headset: None yet Just finished the basics on this one a couple weeks ago. I know the PSU is overkill but I wanted plenty of headroom to upgrade along with good quality while being modular. 10 year warranty and has nice braided cables. About to buy the red individually sleaved cable set. The 750w sold out the day before I bought the parts. Also, I'm in the market for a good gaming headset if any of you have suggestions. Also need an at least 24" monitor. Prefer 1440p but may go with 1080p. Open to any suggestions as long as it has a high refresh rate. Clearly I'm going with a red/black themed build and am still a couple months out from having this where I want it. I apologize for any errors as I am on a mobile and the interface isn't the best or the most responsive. Built about 2 weeks ago. Still a lot of work to be done.
  6. I just built an i5 4690k/gtx 970 combo. But come on, no comparison to a 5820k. Pretty awesome how often you guys give back to the community. One of the first things I do is check your channel when I wake up just to see what kind of stuff you guys uploaded the night before. Sometimes I catch them at night but its often around 4am my time by the time the new stuff is up. My favorite tech channel by a long shot. Probably my favorite altogether. I would use it for a variety of things. Gaming, 3d rendering, just whatever catches my attention from day to day. Redtu.. I mean YouTube.. uh yeah.. a lot of nonporn related things.. ahem..
  7. Wait for the GTX 960. It will likely be announced in a month or so.
  8. The ASUS Strix 970 already runs on one 8-pin. So I'd say there's a good chance the 960 will.
  9. I really wish you guys would take an XBone and gut it, then build a beast of a pc in it lol. The Power brick. Is already external on the Xbox so you always have that working for you guys. I really don't see it being that difficult to build a pc that would devastate the Xbox components given the size of the Xbox case.
  10. Hmm.. Probably gotta be the power supply. Why you ask? ITS RED ACCENTED AND SILENT!? Boner alert
  11. Been reviewing this topic alot myself the last few days. As the others have said, gotta go with the 270 based on what I've saw in the reviews.
  12. Yeah the 780 is an easy 500-600 bucks at this point too.. way outside my price range
  13. Wow, quick reponse. Thanks alot man. Is the R9 290 really the best option around this price range? I've watched reviews of it, but that really doesn't give you a true sense of what it would be like to own one day to day if you understand where i'm coming from. Apologies for not reading the post you mentioned, I posted this on my mobile and it can be a little frustrating at times on forums with a phone.
