Being eaten? There are two things. One, async computing is a small part of what dx12 allows and it isn't certain that all devs will use it at least for now. Secondly, the 980ti doesn't get "eaten" its performance increase is smaller than for amd but a 290x still performs worse. Very close, but worse. So it does not get eaten. I would advise the 980 ti as the to go card or, if you are too worried then a standard fury or fury x (i would go for normal fury) would be adequate. If you don't mind having worse performance now in order to get an unknown advantage in the future which might not be an advantage at all...

Wow... Calling a 980ti worthless is a bit of a stretch don't you reckon? 980 ti is still the to go gfx on the high end. Don't worry about the "future" as the next gen will bring about new cards and for the now, there is no better than the 980 ti. I reckon that in one year time the 980 ti will still be a very potent gfx able to playall the latest games in very high to ultra settings.

Yeah. The lenovo would be better. The 950m is as good as a single 760m you should get performance lower than a 750 ti desktop... The 860m is a good one giving you performance on par with a 750 ti... I myself have the y510p with two gt 755m and I can't complain. Btw: disn't know runescape still existed. I used to play the game some 12 years ago

I for one think wikipedia should not be relied upon as a source. I use extensively but I always check their sources and a couple of others. Problem is that wikipedia can be edited by anyone so, you just need to catch some poor edits before they are removed and you will have problems. In my line of work scientific journals is the way to go.

I opted for an msi gaming 6. It overclocks well and it is cheap. If you feel that 1-2 fps tops is going to ruin your life, you need a new life. Heck from what I've seen it appears to be one of the most consistent boards out there. I would not go for a kingpin or lightning as that would be a waste for me and I would be paying a premium for nothing... Bottom line is, pick whichever you fancy don't think about the rest. You literally canot make a wrong choice when it comes to the 980 ti.

I had a custom built pentium 3 back then that worked wonders with 98 and got the bsod time and again with me. Rolled back to 98, perfect. Installed me, bsod. So custom built is meaningless i am afraid... Also, yours is the first report I hear of someone actually running me without a hitch...

I disable the videos in the options. You havea tickbox there for videos. As for emulators, never needed to use one so idk... Google it? You could try a virtual machine i guess.

Try disabling the videos. It used to crash the game for me. Either that or try an emulator if nothing else works.

I can't believe the hate people show yowards users of popcorn time or torrent pirating. First of all, the quotations on "steal" should be there since you are not stealing anything really. Who was prevented from enjoying the product in the end? I for one pay for games I think are worth it. Recently I bought a bunch of coins in magic duels because I really appreciate the game. And it is free... I also think like others here that the main problem are outdated business models which are unwilling to adapt to the 21st century. Their "losses" in revenue are calculated in ways they don't even explain precisely and they are probably wrong. Youtube and similar services probably contributed more to the decline of traditional media than pirating tv shows and the trend will continue. Lets look at an example, Game of Thrones. Most pirated tv show in the world but their ratings keep rising and the franchise growing. Why is that? If pirating was the doombringer some people here keep talking about got should be dead and buried and not growing. Heck, this season got the first four eps leaked before official release and it still broke records... How does that work? Maybe, just maybe hbo is doing something right? And Netflix... And, I suspect, the trend will shoot upwards with apple tv and other such providers.

I love sp star wars campaigns. Two of the games I keep returning to are kotor and kotor 2 just because they are awesome. Bf 2 campaign was enjoyable to me but I spent a lot of time doing space battles. Just loved them for me, bigger space maps with more stuff happening would be awesome.
