  1. Would be the second pair I've had to replace sadly
  2. what are some good breathable earpads for the beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohms? my head gets quite hot and sweaty so now the ear pads are quite smelly did see that LTT got sponsored by wicked cushions, are they a good brand to replace the current smelly ear pads?
  3. how much wattage and VA should i get for my setup? also want at least one of the monitors connected to it as well
  4. hi looking at getting a UPS for the computer to help protect it during storms and power outages, got no idea on what to look for in terms of brands or battery capacity, just want something that lasts long enough for me to safely turn the computer off my specs: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/Zohan2000/saved/dcCJnQ
  5. wasnt there an official website for CHDK? fandom is probably one of the worst websites online
  6. looking at finding something thats decent quality and doesnt break the bank, got no idea where to start looking to be honest, if i can use an old samsung a70 phone or somehow use the canon powershot sx60 hs ive got that would be awesome any tips and advice is welcomed, thanks EDIT: had the model wrong, its the sx 60hs
  7. video about ergonomics when at the computer and go over different chairs, desks, keyboards mice and anything that can help to sit comfortably while doing office work, gaming or chilling watching youtube and to reduce RSI, pain or future injury, could even get a professional or someone that specializes in the field to help give input, vaguely remember there being a video with terran before he left but i dont think its available anymore
  8. Got enough hardware to give them a go, just gotta get off my rear to set things up lol, are there any other OS's besides unraid and truenas?
  9. which ever one allows me to add more storage down the line since HDDs are damn expensive lol
  10. gonna put the project on hold for now till i can buy at least 2 10 TB drives, do have 2 250GB and 500GB SSDs and a 2TB HDD and will use one of the 250gb SSDs for the OS, hoping the black friday or cyber monday deals will help massively with pricing but i doubt it sadly, so far WD red plus drives are the cheapest option in AUS according to PCPartPicker and what ive been able to find online heres hoping they drop below $300AUS
  11. what about the corsair c70? do have that case already with an old z87 build inside of it which ill take out and see if i can sell, can also use a seasonic focus plus 850w i already got for the PSU even though its a tad overkill, can also try and mod the side panel so its a solid piece instead of the acrylic window, buy some demciflex filters add noctua fans for good airflow
  12. a case like the fractal design node 804 or the r5 or r6 would be alright to use, would use the 804 but the HDDs hanging is a bit of a concern
  13. unfortunately no, on the desk next to my other computer is the best spot for it at the moment, i would say the floor but i dont want it to get caked in dust, a cube style case would be awesome, do wish the coolermaster stacker cases were still available lol
  14. main reason for going itx was plainly space saving on my desk, if theres another case that uses matx or atx but is also quite small then im all ears for suggestions
  15. its a starting build which ill add more HDDs in the future and the ram choice is cause ive already got it so might as well reuse it, im open to suggestions and changes
  16. do have an old bluray drive from my first pc build so if it will work just fine then ill connect it up to the server or my pc and copy files over, its the LG CH12NS30 12x BD-R
  17. what would give better speed and reliability in copying bluray dvds onto a server? with a server im planning on building i was going to buy bluray DVDs and copy them to a server to use instead of the "other way" to have a legit version of the movie or tv show
  18. have asked about this in the past but with black friday and cyber monday coming up i thought id ask again on these specs to see if they are good for a noob's server, the main goal with it is general backup of games,(games like skyrim, fallout, etc instead of relying on USB storage) files(videos and photos) and have movies and TV series, did see that jonsbo has a new case the N3 which looks way better than the N2 so thought about going with it but if theres another case thats got a small footprint, im open to suggestions and advice, heres the PCPartPicker link https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/B6bYWt
  19. i hope to see a guide in the future on how to use this properly and maybe take out certain benchmarks on games people dont own, that would be cool and would be fun for the community to see who each others setups stack up
  20. hi all, back to asking questions about settings up a server/nas box for myself, what is better to use? on-board sata ports or get a sas hba card like a lsi sas hba 9200-8i IT mode? mainly deciding whether to go SFF and use iTX with the sas hba card or go mATX with 6 on board sata ports or go for a full sized ATX motherboard
  21. planning on upgrading from a 3900x to the 5800x3D cpu and 32GB of ram so thought id do some benchmarks to get a sense of how much improvement im getting but these scores seem a bit varied from each run, got no idea what could be causing this, at first i thought it was process lasso, turned it off and restarted the computer and was still getting the same weird scores, moved r20 to the desktop(NVME) instead of being ran from a HDD and still the same thing is happening, any ideas? gonna run the cpu test on 3dmark next to see if the same thing is happening there as well
  22. Open rgb doesn't seem to work 100% with lian li fans do had to turn l connect back on, probably is a work around but too lazy to fix it other then that issue it seems to be working just fine with the corsair keyboard, gigabyte ram and motherboard
  23. downloaded openRGB since its free to use and after a mucking around with settings it seems to be working well, didnt uninstall icue but disabled it to run on startup incase i want to mess around with keybinds and such
  24. never heard of OMM before and it seems so far to be working fine, hopefully no connection issues with ghub no longer installed
