So I over clocked my CPU to 4.5ghz and ran cine bench r23 everything seems stable  highest temps for the entire package I've saw so far is 83c it's at 1.35 volts

At my age I need a magnify glass to read the text in motherboard manuals so I like to keep things simple.

Well tomorrow I'm going to dig into the overclock settings and see how far I can push this 6700k hopefully I get some performance gains

I would just buy a good cooler and clock the shit out of your 6700K. It should be ok still, I know my 3770K is still ok. At least you know your old system is decent. Cant imagine why you would buy 11th gen with ADL just around the corner. Crazy.
3770K with Z77 OC Formula was pretty solid for me, but the move to Asus B550 and 5900X is pretty good. Not perfect, but pretty damn close..
 
Also no problems either, has been just as stable if not more than my Intel systems.

yea im a dum dum for this one ahaha. Since the usb typc C can be used as a display driver or to charge i thought that it was the dedicated charging port xDD. Thanks for the link with the docks I may actually use one later on and thanks for being patient while my brain slowly processed this ahah

bahahaha I'm an idiot..... I was under the impression that the usb type c was the charging port like with some other laptops.. Didnt realize there was a dedicated port as well. so i can just get a usb 3.2 type c ge 2 to DP never mind ahahah 😆 

Well you can just use direct usb c to dp cable for that...

But honestly you should just get a Ryzen 3400g / 4350g so you won't need the gpu.

Ok, likely a Windows issue then. To test this theory, make yourself a linux usb install and try and boot to that.

Hey all it's that time of the year again and I know everyone gets the itch to, but the question is should you? Upgrading! Now that AMD has taken the throne from what I've been reading would it be a good decision to upgrade to AMD coming from Intel or no? Right now I'm rocking an i7 6700k and I've been looking at the ryzen 3800x  it looks like a worthy upgrade doubling my cores and threads.

Yea i get you man. I never tried anything but red and just the other week i tried browns and wanted to kill myself after trying them LOL. I was successful with the anne pro and blue tooth it worked great! now many people have experienced connection problems and just not being able to connect in general. I have only used it for about 10 minutes but i went on a typing frenzy and tried it in game and had no issue with latency and only 1 or 2 missed key strokes and that could be caused by me only charging it for like 5 minutes lol. but its working great just as well as the corsair one. it comes in blue switches as well as reds and browns. I'm going to use it extensively here tomorrow night ill keep you updated on how it goes.

Drevo has a kick starter going right now for a new wireless TKL. there arent many mechanical wireless keyboards ):. I have the anne pro its a 60% board but i havnt tried the wireless on it yet so i cant recommend it 

That's weird. I know when I first seen 60hz I didn't notice until I played a game that I would normally play on console after that I noticed 

I also bought some custom length cables from moddiy and got the cryorig c1 cup cooler coming in. I got 3 static pressure noctua fans they are amazing my cpu wasn't going over 52-58 That's with the cryorig c7. When I did have my gpu in the max it got was 68. That was just running haven benchmark for like an hour didn't do furmark or anything and when gaming it got the same temps so it was more realistic to run haven imo

Yup. Thought about putting together a mining rig myself, but I figured let's wait and see if mining stays good money in a year's time
