yeah, but if they make noises other than regular fan noise and coil whine it must be a problem. Could you like, take a video or somethinng ?? try to be sure NOTHING touches the fans in your system -

definetely comes form a fan or a moving part so i'd say try to observe all fans and see which one might have something touching them. if they already replaced all of them, the problem might be the fan in the power supply... do you have any experience with computers?do you feel comfortable enough to open it and take a quick look ? -
Good all around laptop for Uni [$1500]
berserker replied to Cycloned's topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
bro, the throttle problem is abouth the heat, not the bottleneck. and rgarding the dell, i suggested it because on their website they have an i76700hq with a 960m and all the ram and storage you want for just 1300 bucks. if you're from the us, that seems to me like a pretty good deal- 12 replies

don't know if you should expect to game on that... the 960M will probably throttle and it will be loud af but al the other specs look great !! have you cheked any other laptops ? i can suggest you check this one from dell(http://www.dell.com/us/p/inspiron-15-7559-laptop/pd?ref=PD_OC) other than the probable heat issue with the 960M i think youll be extremely fine, especially digging that 512 nvme edit: sorry, didn't chek the fact that maybe it's only available from dell's site and didn't even check battery life- 12 replies

Lately i have experienced sudden shutdowns of my hp laptop. it has been a good friend to me and to my sister for 7 years now. After the mobile gpu melt or broke, i managed to set onboard graphics as default to keep at least using it, and after that it hasbeen working fine ever since. Now it has started shutting down without any sign of failure or so. It's not because of overheating (when turning up again. the bios would tell me the computer had shut itself to keep the cpu safe, and that happened before). Do you think of any reason it would do it other than it is slowly dying? thanks. (it's an Hp pavillion, pentium dual core 1,86Ghz,4GBram.

i would take it veery well if you gave it away to me as i'm currently thinking of swapping my boot hard drive in my crappy notebook with an ssd even if it has pretty low specs I'm pretty sure that this would make things better. And I would be able to use it on my new laptop when I upgrade
