Feveredbike reacted to Nakano2k1 in gtx 970 sli
I would wait and see if DirectX12 really does what it says and doubles the amount of memory by pooling all the memory on both cards. The way games are going in graphical detail, I would rather have 8gb / 7gb instead of 4 / 3.5. If it's not going that way, I would buy one for the time being since you're only gaming at 1080p.
Keep in mind, when you pair cards, you have to deal with SLI/Crossfire profiles.

Feveredbike reacted to Clarkey in Are ATH-M50X's Good Headphones?
From everything ive read from actual studio guys the m50x arent really that good, they seem to be used a lot by people who arent actually that into audiogear. Almost everyone serious ive seen has reccomended the Beyers or AKGs over them.

Beyerdynamic DT 770, 880, and 990 are all better headphones you can usually find at the same price.

Feveredbike reacted to ShearMe in Best Headphones Under $300?
They're the most recommended because they get recommended the most. People whole never owned any other headphone get recommended it and then think they're some kinda expert because they have one headphone, so immediately go online and recommend it in every thread they see. Then the cycle repeats.

Feveredbike got a reaction from teddyteddyteddy in Tips on (amateur) production of electronic music?
Try and get a neutral set set of headphones! If you get a headphone with too much bass, or any other frequency, you'll find the final sound of the song to be lacking in bass because the headphones are overcompensating for what is actually being produced.

Feveredbike got a reaction from Mew in iVerge: Best smartphone you can buy (updated)
iPhones aren't my favorite, but I think that they do the best job at being a well rounded smartphone. I find it really funny that if anything apple gets on a list people go up in arms.

You still sound like an apple fanboy.

Feveredbike reacted to Victorious Secret in IPhone 6 + bend test.
Its sad.
Its one thing for fanboys to blindly defend one company, but its even sadder when fanboys attack the users of other companies for reasons that amount of "na na na na na boo boo I can do better than you". Its sad.
Why does it matter? Why are they so concerned? They claim to not care, yet put in an awful lot of time and effort making angry posts about how Apple has stupid sheep for stupid products or whatever the noise is these days.

Feveredbike got a reaction from ShearMe in Best amp/dac for the ATH - M50x?
I used to own a pair of M50s and before I got rid of them I listened to them for a while on a Magni/Modi stack. I couldn't tell the difference between that and running them straight out of the computer. I hate to be that guy and I know this isn't what you're looking for but use that $350 on a better pair of headphones; that's where you'll find the improvement.

Feveredbike reacted to ShadowCaptain in Why NOT to get a mac?
The reason not to buy one is if you are one of those bigoted asshole that can not contemplate that Apple macbooks are really solid awesome machines with great performance (or if you want to play games at the highest settings)
Otherwise they are genuinely very good machines, super well build, great displays and OSX is a really nice OS.
Alternatives depend on what you are looking for, there is not much that matches the build and aesthetic save the razer blade or something, but if you are looking for something with a super high res display and 9 hours battery life there is not much to recommend with these features

This: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001F347K/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 is exactly what you're looking for. I had the same problem as you and this solved it. Just have the number your input is connected to pushed in and select/deselect your outputs.

Feveredbike got a reaction from Dragonzeanse in I guess I'm looking for an audio switch?
Yeah. It has two 3.5mm ports and 4 RCA ports. If you need more 3.5mm ports you'll have to get an adapter (the sound bar hopefully uses RCA cables) but you'll probably be fine. I have my headphone amp and speakers hooked up to it as outputs and DAC (audio from computer) as the input. I just select the number that the amp or speakers are plugged into and it switches to that source. You can see a picture in the link on my signature. I didn't realize I wasn't responding to OP, sorry
Edit 524: The shipping from Amazon says 2 weeks or so, but I got mine in a few days. And it seems like they really care about your purchase which is nice.
